I guess I’d say it’s debatable… Jpost claims to be in the centre as far as Israeli spectrum of left-right goes. Unlike something like, say, the Times of Israel which is right wing, or Haaretz which is more in line with the Guardian.

Yeh sure. Everyone claims they are the sensible centre.

The point is, a sensible environmental scientist has published an op ed in a supposedly centrist and non partisan paper calling for forcible population transfer out of the Gaza strip.

Getting control of the Gaza strip off Hamas hasn’t been the goal since the moment the unity government formed, and now people are willing to say so.

This reads like something a teenager would write.

It’s terrible.

Sooooo…a Scottish Queen called Mary?

Most journalism these days it seems. I find the vast majority of news and analysis content really difficult to read - and not because of the concepts being discussed.

Lots to do with the eradication of sub-editors from the news room

I know times have changed, but I find it slightly ironic that South Africa are taking Israel to the ICC.

Remember, Israel was one of the few nations pumping money into the South African economy throughout the Apartheid Regime, and was instrumental in creating South Africa’s military industrial complex, along with South Africa being a world leader in medical innovation and technology.

Wasn’t that just Israel leashing Sud Afika’s nuke tech?

Ironic? That Israel is being taken to court by the ANC-led post apartheid regime, the people who waged armed resistance against apartheid?

Which as I understand it never got off the ground as Israel realized that South Africa at the time having Nuclear Weapons may not have been such a good idea.

No issues with their military being provided with the best up and coming equipment and armaments, all conveniently produced in South Africa who could argue plausible deniability.

I may have the direction around the wrong way, but afik, Israel and South Africa collaborated on nuclear weapon development.

David Albright and Chris McGreal reported that South African projects to develop nuclear weapons during the 1970s and 1980s were undertaken with long-term cooperation from Israel.

You’ve got a state that’s banned from playing with the the vast majority of the world and a state that doesn’t give a fuck what you think.

Evergrande into liquidation.

I don’t really buy into the whole collapse deal but I presume if the Chinese property market starts to get a little shaky then their domestic investment market is likely to shift more money offshore right?

Their government would more than likely block that in seconds

Israeli settlers hold a conference planning the settlement of the Gaza strip, including a giant map on the wall with settlements planned on top of current Palestinian suburbs and villages.

Never let a good war go to waste & make sure you plan your territory post war. The nutjob Orthodox wing of Bibi’s party who are the only thing propping up his PM’s position have made no secret of the fact that a two state solution was never, is never & will never be on the cards & also that Palestinians are all pretty much in a way of a massive expansion of Israel. Next stop, West Bank. By the way, they would cream their jeans if America started attacking Iran on their behalf, nothing like settling an old score as well.
