World News-The US-Free Zone

Getting a bit scarier in the middle east. Biden confirmed the US would retaliate after 3 soldiers were killed by Iranian backed militia. Understanding it’s meant to be a US free zone, but it’s probably pertinent towards the wider conflict to allow including.

It’s just a repeat of the Tanker Wars from the 80s during the Iran-Iraq war.

The U.S. won’t risk full out war. There’ll be a few drone strikes in retaliation, probably target a few Iranian proxies, and then it’ll simmer down again.

I dare say the US are more concerned about those pesky Houthies launching rockets into freighters in the Red Sea.

As far as i’m aware the US has legal military bases within Jordan, however Tower 22 which was the one that was attacked is on the US-Syria Border and is a logistics/supply base which is used to support the US’s illegal occupation and looting of Syrian oil fields. So I guess, get fucked Yankee, go home.

I think he was talking about the thread content?

So is there credible reporting of ongoing US theft of Syrian oil? I thought the whole SDF / Delta Crescent shit shut down 3 years ago.

that is correct, it was about the content, but hard to talk about the Middle East without bringing in the US as they’re, for better or for worse, a major player.

Biden is mean to be coming out to condemn Israeli settlers with their aggressive settlement strategies in the West Bank in the coming days

Depends on what you mean by credible i guess, there are still reports from late last year that the US is still smuggling out oil tankers to their bases in Iraq. I’m sure the US denies it, although they still do have 900+ troops stationed in the north east of Syria.
September last year Syrian officials wrote to the UN calling for the US to be held accountable for the continued theft of Syrian oil.

Surely that’s not a difficult one to prove though is it? I mean ultimately it’s not that hard to take satellite photos of US tankers containing oil in one of the hottest and most viewed warzones in the world. Russia by themselves would be publishing photo after photo

Former Pakistani Cricketer and Playboy turned politician Imran Kkan, who became the Pakistani president, has been jailed for 24 years for leaking state secrets and corruption.

He’s 71, so he’ll probably die in prison. Like a tiger.

I had a quick look at the website it’s from and I won’t lie, they’re fairly obvious in having a pretty huge anti-western agenda. A random video with no geo-location or even context isn’t exactly proof. I’m not discounting that it could be happening to this day, but at the same time, that’s pretty low in the standard for proof

Netanyahu looks to be re-deploying Israeli reserves to make a push on Rafah. Pretty much the last major city in the Gaza strip. The town is packed with refugees, it almost looks like he’s expecting them to be pushed out into Egypt and the Sinai Peninsula, otherwise not sure what they’re expected to do. Some of the footage coming out is absolutely fucked though. Israeli soldiers throwing tear-gas at Palestinian students, doctors with obvious markings dodging sniper fire to rescue people on the streets and civilians with white flags being shot dead in the streets as they approach Israeli checkpoints. How the fuck they think that any of this is acceptable boggles the mind… Just read another story of a 5 year old girl being shot dead in a car with her family after driving to try and escape a few weeks ago. They just retrieved the bodies now, despite the fact that an ambulance crew had been dispatched to the location, with permission from Israeli forces. The ambulance crew was killed enroute.

If they move into Rafah, it’ll be quite interesting to see how the world reacts. There’s already been some extremely strong statements put out by surrounding Arab countries, as well as Western Countries. Syria is threatening war, Oman has warned of serious repercussions, as has Saudi Arabia and of course, Iran. The EU, US and UK have indicated they are completely against any invasion of Rafah. Netanyahu has publicly said that, if they don’t go in, it’ll be a waste of the entire war.

Absolutely disgusting. It’s time there’s international intervention on these cunts.

Not really almost, they’ve been quite up front in saying they’re executing plans to “evacuate” (ie forcibly transfer) the entire population in order to destroy “the [Hamas] batallions” (ie anyone who resists being forcibly transferred).

Most members of the Israel cabinet have this philosophy in regards to this & several articulated it at the beginning of the war. This was always inevitiable. Egypt will be raging at the moment because the only place they could possibly go if it comes to that is to them. It’s not Hezbollah that is going to enlarge this conflict nor is it the strikes on Yemen but the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.

They can threaten all they want, but they’re still yet to get their house in order with the civil war still simmering away in the country.

Netanyahu has suggested that they evacuate to the north of Gaza. You know, the bit that the IDF has just gone and leveled.
