Perth Glory (Cup SF still open too):
Result for the Round 10 draw with Brisbane:
Who else but Elvis Kamsoba, again? It’s his 5th in his past 5 appearances, and the biggest win so far this season: he picked up an average of 2.66 votes per voter.
Don’t forget to vote for last night’s loss to Perth, as well as the Cup loss to CCM, which will stay open until Tuesday night
Voting open for the draw with Melbourne
(+ still some time to vote for the weekend’s loss to Perth)
Its been a while since Ive felt theres more players deserving of a point than there are points to give
Recent results:
The Cup semi final loss was a clear one - Andrew Redmayne got his first MOTM for the season (the 12th of his SFC career), for keeping us in the match until he was nutmegged by a penalty. He got an average of 3.21 votes, which is the highest tally this season, and the 14th-highest in the history of this voting.
The loss to Perth was less clear-cut… we ended up with joint winners for the second time this season. Anthony Caceres and Elvis Kamsoba both picked up 42 votes. Only 20 and 22 voters thought they were worthy of any points, respectively. It’s Caceres’ second MOTM for the season, and Kamsoba’s sixth (!).
Don’t forget to vote for the draw with Melbourne, and keep an eye out for voting to open after this afternoon’s match:
Elvis might have player of the year wrapped up already
vs CCM
vs Adelaide!
Recent results:
For the draw in Melbourne, Milos Ninkovic picked up his first MOTM for the season. It had been 15 appearances since his last MOTM, which is the third-longest winless streak of his 207-game Sydney FC career (he’s had 19 consecutive MOTM-less appearances twice before).
Probably no surprises for the win over CCM at Leichhardt, with Anthony Caceres taking MOTM. It’s his 3rd of the season, and the 9th of his Sydney FC career.
Thanks to all voters! Still a bit of time for the win over Adelaide:
Vs Western Utd
6 points for the coffee van at half time. That was an amazing hot chocolate!
The donuts were incredible for the soul
In the least surprising result of the season, MOTM for the away win over Adelaide was Tom Heward-Belle. He averaged over 3 votes from each voter (despite the fact one voter apparently thought he didn’t earn anything!). It’s his first MOTM for the season and the fourth of his Sydney FC career.
Don’t forget to get your votes in for the draw with Western United:
Vs Wellington open now (Western Utd should remain open for a couple more hours too)
Result for last weekend’s draw with Western United: There was a clear top 3 in this match, picking up an average of 4.44 / 6 votes per voter between them. Goalscorer Max Burgess won it in the end, his second MOTM for the season.
Reminder to get your votes in for yesterday’s Wellington match if you haven’t already:
Voting for the loss to Western Utd. Welly still open too
Vs Melbourne City
Difficult this week trying to find players who stood out enough to give points to
Come on, Amini, Ninko, Grant, Elvis played very well.
It was a poor result, more so because there were a a number of good players and we still found a way to lose. The “aleagues greatest striker” Jamie McLaren barely had a kick. Maybe the person marking him is worthy of some points for once.
