A-League Men - April 22-25

There’s something endearing about it, though. At least, unlike certain former Fox commentators, they generally don’t hang shit on the opposition at the same time.

I had missed Rudan getting marched. Gears lubricated

Brisbane draw with MV pretty much guaranteeing that the latter won’t win the plate
So that’s good.

There was a game today?

Roar managed to pull 7.1k in the pouring rain at Redcliffe when they have nothing to play for, pretty good. Crowds seem to be on the up.

Surely D’Agostino miss-kicked that?

The pitch is so waterlogged on the near side. Wellington are under the pump and based on the number of chances MV have created this could get ugly

Shaun fucking Evans and VAR - peaches and cream

Shaun Evans is not good at refereeing.

Wow this is hilarious

It wasn’t even a foul. Just stop trying to be the centre of attention VAR

The worst part of that whole thing is that it was all technically correct.

But it still isn’t worth it. It’s the same story, if you have to inspect the entire play before the goal you’re often going to find some possible fouls, offsides, handballs etc.

We seem to have had a 20 minute demonstration of how stupid rule changes and VAR are ruining the game.

Damn. That was an incredible goal. Twats.

Crazy how things change in the span of a year. I couldn’t imagine us scoring a goal like that this season. It wasn’t even that great imo, they just strung a few nice passes together but compared to us it looked like Brazil.

Mariners have a twenty-four better goal difference to Wellington yet three points behind.

So we’re the last Sydney team (barely) still with a chance of finals. When was the last time there were no Sydney teams in the final.

On the flip side Melbourne looking like getting the top 3

Garang Kuol with his 4th in 7 games. Do vaguely remember Alou saying his something about his younger brother being better than him. Garang looks a serious talent. Dont have too many players coming through with such an eye for goal

Two seasons before the Wanderers joined the comp, yes? So, 2010-11. Made the finals the year before the Wanderers joined and then it’s been the Wanderers or us (Both, I think on maybe two occasions, and last season us and Bulls both.) every season since then. Not just that, but only 1 of 5 NSW teams will be in finals while the Victorians are top 3.

Mariners deserve finals with with a fresh side, despite that one beating at home from us.

And all the Melbourne teams passed on all the Kuols. They had to come to the Mariners
