Not sure if this is the right thread but I’m on holiday in Japan at the moment and therefore I couldn’t use foxtel go to stream the game because you can’t use foxtel go outside Australia without a VPN, which I don’t have. However I realised the my football youtube channel live streams the games. Is this a recent thing that games are streamed for free on youtube? Sorry if I’m completely behind here but this seems like a great way of attracting new fans to the league, particularly of a younger demographic.
As Rory mentioned the Youtube streaming only works in countries without a broadcast deal (which thankfully includes Canada). According to wiki Japan’s deal is highlights only so that might be why it works there.
Interestingly last season’s Grand Final wasn;t streaming on Youtube in Canada which was odd as none of the TV networks or cable providers had the game on.
Does anyone use the Kayo app on an Apple TV 4K plugged into a 4K tv?
I have an LG OLED which is fantastic. All other apps look great, but the HAL on Kayo looks like absolute ass. T he resolution is fine (1080p) but in motion it’s juddery and overblown.
Meanwhile, on the same box on my Panasonic Plasma, it’s beautiful.
Is Kayo still showing the A-league? The Friday game is not listed in their fixtures but all the old a-league content is still there?
Beteasy still has the 3-month trial deal, you need to create a new Kayo account though. You can still create the Beteasy account with completely made up email and phone number etc. though.
With creating a new Kayo account, I think you may have an issue if you have an existing account and try and use the same mobile number for the new account.
You don’t need to make a new account each time for kayo. You can do the beteasy voucher code multiple times on the same account. You can grab the kayo voucher code from the beteasy url. I think kayo class an expired customer as a new customer for the deal.
I have one of those VB case deals with 2 free months (please understand that I did NOT purchase a case of VB - my uncle did ). When I try and apply that code it tells me I’ve already used a trial period before.
I’m considering creating a new account with my wife’s phone number, but to be honest, I don’t know if I can be bothered.
“Industry sources said Stan is already working on developing the technology required to broadcast live sport. It is also trying to secure a range of other broadcast deals to attract more subscribers and reduce its reliance on rugby. Stan currently charges between $10 and $19 for television shows and films, but it is unclear whether it will cost more for sports content.”
