Sydney scarf and Sanfrecce shirt in the away bay. You’ll get picked up by the cameras, commented on by the commentators and made a social media celebrity via hate and despise.
But not by us here, people never know the full story of an individual in social media clips.
Im jealous, I took a colo-colo flag for when Lucas Barrios was playing against CCM and I didn’t get anything and he celebrated near me when he scored hahahahahaha
Back probably 5 or so years a go… maybe 4… I was playing in a band on the northern beaches. We used to at the time go to Forestville RSL for regular meet up’s outside rehearsals.
A regular voice in media/Aus football would be there almost every time, shouting (with his voice) about many things.
I also saw this person on a number of occasions at Beacon Hill maccas, possibly getting brekky for the local club across the road… you’d like to think. Or just a coffee, fair enough.
My band mates would visit the RSL more often than me and told me many stories of this persons outbursts about many things related to Aus football.
I won’t go in to the local school story of a play kids did, that includes this set person.
Defector is a word i didn’t expect to be deciphered on a broadcast at the time, but i guess ones mind spits out what’s in it’s forefront at any given time if you don’t have an overall perception.
This will be only the second Asian home game I’ve missed in several years on the account of me recently tearing my achilles.
In saying that, i’m almost always deeply disappointed with the crowd turnouts for these games, continental football is supposed to be what clubs strive for and it seems a lot of our fans could give less of a shit.
There shouldn’t be any reason why Sydney fans can’t pack out Kogarah for this one, even for a midweek fixture.
You’re entitled to be as disappointed as you want but there are so many valid reasons why even fairly committed fans can’t make ACL games, especially ones at Kogarah, at 7pm, on a weeknight. My suggestion is to come to terms with that reality instead of being perpetually disappointed, but it’s up to you. You are usually a bit of a negative nancy on here so maybe there’s a small part of you that enjoys the disappointment
Looks like Lolley was participating in normal training which is a good sign. Couldn’t see any photos of Costa - hopefully he is still good for a return
It shouldn’t be like that. Why is there no appetite to change it? We celebrate qualifying for Asian football then we stop giving a fuck when we get there? I mean why isn’t that bewildering to other people?
I don’t know, I guess I’m just sick of the disrespect we’ve shown to Asian football ever since we got here, no wonder they all hate us.
I love ACL and I go every time, but that’s just me. I invite friends along and they get into it, that’s all I can do and that’s all I really worry about. Getting stressed or depressed about attendances doesn’t do me any good.
It isn’t just an Australian thing, attendances for ACL in Japan and Korea are also way down on the average attendance for J and K League.
