I could walk up but itād take me a couple hours https://transportnsw.info/events/2024/11/league-men-sydney-fc-v-macarthur-fc
Iād argue that mid week games are the main deterrent. Fighting Sydney rush hour traffic to get to the other side of Sydney and then coming home late on a school night isnāt ideal for most.
The average football supporter in this country has no idea who most of the teams we play in Asia are so there is no excitement to them. Iād say even Hiroshima isnāt that well known, even amongst those that follow the game. As far as they are concerned itās just a random local team we picked from a hat to play in a midweek friendly.
I doubt Iāll be there tonight because to be honest I canāt be fucked getting to Kogarah from north of the bridge on a Thursday night.
Itās a shame, because I generally always find the Asian games more entertaining than A League matches. Theyāre generally more open and free flowing (when playing against similar opposition that is).
But yeah 7pm down in Kogarah is a pain, I personally wish the match was starting at 8pm, as Iāll probably be rocking up 10 mins late
I hope the potential storm doesnāt impact the game, itās a miserable stadium the moment thereās a single drop of rain and it is woefully unprepared for heavy rain at all.
Tomorrow we will probably have a different squad to our last matchup. Weāll go in with some very interesting young players and some veterans who are keeping a high level and weāll try to get at least a point tomorrow if we can.
Sydney FC are very physical and have fast players up front, so itās going to be a very difficult game, but an interesting one."
"Two weeks ago they played in the same conditions [of long travel] and performed well. This time we will prove ourselves.
We are footballers, so even after a loss [in the league] we will do everything to look good and perform well for the next game. Tomorrow we want to play well.
Since weāre all stuck in the single grandstand we should alright for rain right, certainly the top level is fine, probably most of the bottom tier too
