He should have been signed to an extension the moment he came back. Terrible business.

It was always an absolutely certainty hed be off this season on a free. No point signing an extension and getting stuck here. Bad management in hindisght to not extend soon as he came back but he hadnāt exactly been in incredible form.
Hes got what 17 goals and a bunch of assists this season? No ones going to be advising him to stay for anotehr season
Atleast sign him up with the condition if he gets a deal overseas he can go⦠and then the club gets a transfer
Yes, because any club can just ādecideā to contract a player, none of this both sides need to agree nonsense.
100% this idea we should just āsignā players infers they have no decision in it is utter nonsense.
Itās OK, weāve given a 2 year contract to this guy instead.
Yes, probably on a fairly low wage with an eye on getting someone in next season to replace redders as the #1
Not so, based on what Jubal said in the match thread:
Interesting comments from Brosque about him. Was saying Sega has sort of pushed himself into a corner by being such a good impact sub. Heās a known quantity off the bench, so Talay has been using him in that capacity because heās almost guaranteed to get the goals off the bench.
I assume it is the same as when Ferguson came to rely on Soljksaerā¦
But your also pretty much guaranteed to get goals when you start him, so
Off of a pretty quick look, heās started 10 games and scored in 3 of them for a total of 5 goals which gives us a goal ever 95 minutes.
Heās come in off the bench 10 times and scored in 5 games for a total of 7 goals which works out to be a goal every 45 minutes.
My maths was quick rough and dodgy, considering im currently sick, so apologies for any mistakes.
How many of those starts were much deeper in midfield while Sena and Hollman were both out earlier in the season?
5 goals in 10 games started is still preeeetty good.
next season is as good as over already if we persist with this fraud in goal
Someone else would have to do a better analysis, but I suspect the vast majority of times Segacic came off the bench, he saved our arses and managed to scrape the draw/win, which I dare say helps his cause as an impact sub. His stats are also slightly padded as heās had a number of games where heās scored multiple times (including his hatrick). But going by goals per minutes, he definitely looks more effective off the bench
How many of his goals were when he was played deeper? (2 vs WU)
We couldnāt have predicted how heād take off but we shouldnāt have waited too long to start negotiations. He was catching fire pretty early in the season, from memory.
and you know that didnāt happen because?
