Australia Cup 2024 - 10 Year Anniversary Edition

Rockdale v Newcastle/WU could be a bit tasty.
Pretty much the epitome of a banana skin

Yep. A potential banana skin for Rockdale. They’re in full season and seven points ahead of second on the NPL NSW table against a low A-League club that will be very much in early pre-season.

Adelaide away to Blacktown not far behind in the potential cupset stakes.

Rockdale not having a good night tonight

Whoever did the draw should be fired.

We’re going to shoot them dead with a gun

They’ll be violently discharged.

Will they resort to long range attacks under our constant pressure?

I’m just picturing the match turning into the start of The Last Boyscout where the player goes nuts and shoots half the opposition.
An expertly shot movie tbf

Oakleigh is less than 10k from where my son lives. Will propose a trip down for the game.
Might keep my powder dry until the dates are confirmed, but.

Wouldn’t be very canon if we came home with wet sails.

Wouldn’t be the first time they ran a pull through in our barrel

They’re in Brissie.

It says something about the A-League off season that I am a little bit excited about a Perth v Brisbane game.

It also says something about the A-League that I had no idea this was on until reading Clovis’ post and that it took 5+ mins of searching to find out where and when to actually watch it tonight.

A-League (ex-KeepUp) app, P+ app and 10Play app all produced nothing, googling Australia Cup showed the fixture only, had to click on an article from the BR club website where buried in the last paragraph is “Every match in the Australia Cup 2024 Final Rounds – including the Playoffs – will be streamed live and free on [10 Play]”.

The only thing currently under 2024 Australia Cup in the 10Play app is the draw, assume live games will appear later this evening but you wouldn’t wanna list / promote it in advance or anything.

I mean I’m no longer surprised.

It seems easier to build high speed rail in Australia, find MH370, fly to Pluto, contact Aliens in outer space, convince Israel and the Middle East to be friends, have Putin withdraw from Ukraine, buy a house in Sydney than it is to advertise the A-League or Australian football.

It’s amusing that APL can go cap in hand to FA for some of that sweet, sweet NT money, yet don’t even bother to list an FA controlled fixture between two of their own A-L sides.

There’s already an entire tab dedicated to Unite Round at the end of November (should note opening that tab in the A-League app generated a pop-up ad promoting downloading
 the A-League app).

Futbol24 is good for local football as well. Even if they do called it the “FFA Cup” it’s light years more comprehensive than the pathetic Australia Cup site. God bless those dodgy overseas gamblers who demand comprehensive information.
