You’re absolutely correct:
“there will be one subtle change from the Round of 16 onwards with all remaining rounds drawn at the same time instead of conducting individual draws at the Round of 16, Quarter Final and Semi Final stages.”

Not sure if this is good or bad.
Kinda takes the excitement out of the draw.
Agreed it may take some of the excitement out of it if you can tell that your future games are all likely against a-league opposition as they are all playing semi pro teams near you on the bracket.
It could be good in better organising away trips outside of Sydney though as I know I’d definitely try to align any of my inter-city or interstate travel with a game if I could tell who we were likely to play next well in advance.
Don’t you just love how i scanned the article twice and know all the rules and where to watch it but am I right that they didn’t put a time that the draw is on which is kinda important if you actually want to watch it?!
It’s tomorrow at 19:00 if you’re wondering.
Not really. It’s non essential information!!
Draw coverage starting now. It’s on Ten Play and YouTube.
Our fixture:
Sydney FC vs Oakleigh Cannons
Obviously hosted by them not us.
We should rifle a few in against them.
They’ll have quite an arsenal, and their home ground will be a fortress, but we should be able to shoot a few past them.
Not so sure, they have a few guns on their team
It’ll be a powder keg, but we’ll blast a few balls in and it will be over in a puff of smoke.
I think it will be smoothbore match for us, I think we’ll breach their defence easily, unless they play with a siege mentality.
This is like the third time we’ve played them in the cup.
Is this a derby?
More like a skirmish.
It won’t be an easy game. They’ll be fully loaded.
They wont be used to playing a higher caliber team like us
We’ve played them before. I’m sure they’ll be able to gauge us by now.
Our young guns will be match fit going into this but I suspect they may be cannon fodder given the NPL positions of both teams.
I feel like a strong offensive start to the game will be cruicial. We have to be wary of the counter attack however. We don’t want to be bogged down on the trenches in no-mans land. Their home game, They’ll have the advantage of the terrain. A strong counter battery will be crucial if they’ve got any strong artillery up front.
