Do they have electric dick holders on the bench?

Some deadline day interest from Sheffield United for Harry Souttar

Interesting decision for him. Does he pass up on an almost certain promotion and limited minutes in the EPL, or take a deal at a club that will almost certainly see him play in the Championship next season, with possibly more minutes offered?

At the same time, Martinez would be one of the first cabs off the rank to go to a “big” club next.

He’s probably looking at onana being terrible and licking his lips.

SMH now also reporting Joe Gauci to Villa. Of course old mate Bozza had to have a little dig at the A League

Supposedly £1.5m + add-ons

Reds would surely be one of the few clubs to turn a profit ever this season.

Reinforces the message to keep picking kids!

Was briefly linked to Everton then Shefffield United. Sheffield United deal was getting close but now rumours saying Leeds are in and leading the way

… you know this just ends with him not sealing a move.

Gauci just confirmed for Aston Villa… (Live The Athletic feed)

"Aston Villa have completed the signing of goalkeeper Joe Gauci from Adelaide United.

The 23-year-old completed a medical on Wednesday and has signed a contract at Villa Park until 2028. The club sought a younger ‘keeper to provide backup to Emiliano Martinez and Gauci fits the bill, providing a back-up for first-choice Emi Martinez.

Gauci received his first call up to the Australia national team in March 2022 and is part of the current side that is participating in the Asian Cup."

EDIT: Sky Sports just said Gauci deal is believed to be 1.3 mil+Add on’s. They would be talking in Pounds i guess. What’s that… 2.5mil AU…

Adelaide have had a very smart and sensible system in place for a lot of time, and it seems to earn them a bit of money. At the end of the day, like the Mariners they’re happy to be a development and selling club.

They’ve identified that they’re not always going to be at the top of the ladder but if they can make some money off talanted youngsters, it’s going to keep the club stable for the forseeable future.

Some rumours Ajdin Hrustic got a move to Heracles Almelo
Souttar to Leeds (or anywhere) sounds like it collapsed
Triantis has joined Hibernian on loan

Hrustic’s move confirmed:

Pretty artistic looking welcome photo

Fingers crossed he gets good game time. He’s a huge miss in the national team set up. Given they’re sitting near the relegation zone, surely they’ve brought him in to try to spark something different in attack.

That’s a 90s boyband photo shoot there from Hrustic

You know the photographer spent half an hour raising and lowering that seat looking for the perfect shot.

Surely for that pose his legs should be one over the other at the ankle. His feet look weird there.

Christian Volpato scored his first goal at ‘33 for his new club Sassuolo in Serie A on Saturday against Bologna. A fairly good strike as well, impressive :+1:

The Hof seems to be starting regularly at Hearts now, and by all accounts is performing pretty consistently after a bedding in period where Hearts fans thought he was crap and should be sent on the first plane home :joy:

So no injury issues for him there either then?
