I think you will find that CCM fans are the biggest critics of Mike Charlesworth, but in the issue of the stadium management you will find most just about all the fans are behind the owner on this issue.
The elected council was dismissed for incompetence, it is becoming clear to me that the whole organisation should have been dismissed at the same time.
The whole argument is about the viability of the Club on the Coast. Management rights of the stadium along with development of the surrounds would go a long way towards ensuring this viability.
However this development would impinge on the Central Coast Leagues Club, giving the fans a greater option to purchase food that was not crap before and after games.
I would not be surprised if they are not pushing the council administrator on this issue.
There is a possibility that the Central Coast could loose the Mariners. I see that if comes about it would not only be a tragedy to the fans and the Coast, but also the development of the A-League.
CCM are an ongoing experiment of the possibilities of regional clubs being successful in the national competition. Not having a rich owner the Club is forced to find other ways to be finance a successful operation. If this club is successful others can follow.
Any successes in the development of the A-League will be seen as a threat to other codes.
This is a fight worth winning.
