Bolting from the Blue- The Central Coast Mariners Thread

I think you will find that CCM fans are the biggest critics of Mike Charlesworth, but in the issue of the stadium management you will find most just about all the fans are behind the owner on this issue.
The elected council was dismissed for incompetence, it is becoming clear to me that the whole organisation should have been dismissed at the same time.
The whole argument is about the viability of the Club on the Coast. Management rights of the stadium along with development of the surrounds would go a long way towards ensuring this viability.
However this development would impinge on the Central Coast Leagues Club, giving the fans a greater option to purchase food that was not crap before and after games.
I would not be surprised if they are not pushing the council administrator on this issue.
There is a possibility that the Central Coast could loose the Mariners. I see that if comes about it would not only be a tragedy to the fans and the Coast, but also the development of the A-League.
CCM are an ongoing experiment of the possibilities of regional clubs being successful in the national competition. Not having a rich owner the Club is forced to find other ways to be finance a successful operation. If this club is successful others can follow.
Any successes in the development of the A-League will be seen as a threat to other codes.
This is a fight worth winning.

Long term lease so they can invest in infrastructure

Storm Roux to the Mariners. There will be some happy merchants on the Coast

He was really popular at the mariners, yeah? I remember when Bojic came to Sydney, Roux started to really take hold of that RB spot at Mariner.

He then went to shit. His big injury a d other issues were his downfall.

Mariners sign Yaren Sozer. Looks a good understudy to Birighitti.

In unsurprising news Mariners sign Moresche

Very keen to see how this lad pans out. If he’s any good, CCM can punt him to Japan/Korea/Qatar for seven figures

Mariners give a senior contract to Academy player Max Ballard. Midfielder with big prospects.

Damian Tsekenis given a scholarship spot.

Is Damian Tsekenis any relation to Peter Tsekenis?

If Damian takes after his old man then Rhyan Grant might have some competition in the mullet stakes this season.

What’s the word on Montgomery as a coach?

Doing an outstanding job. Pragmatic coach who the playing group are getting behind.

We will be organised and play fast, counter attacking football. The team won’t faff about.

Given this season will be a stronger league, and we are below the cap, another top six will be a fantastic achievement

A full strength team will look something like this:
Birighitti
Roux Tongyik Rowles Farrell
Goddard Nisbet Bozanic Muller
Urena Simon/Moresche

That’s a pretty solid side, and given Monty has stacked his front third with imports who are quick, we know where the ball will move quickly to.

There was some stuff about Tongyik, cleared up now?

That went very quiet and very secretive.

I’d like to see a Mariners team coached by Mile Jedinak.
