Two caps at youth level. Doesn’t really make him Scottish though
Two caps at youth level. Doesn’t really make him Scottish though
Well I am not going to get into some back and forth on someone’s identity that I have never met - but one suspects he must feel at least somewhat Scottish if played for them, even two caps
There may not be any truth. Seems just like a rumour at the moment
Scottish press were actually reporting this a week or so ago - none of those markets seem to have him as favourite though - but that might mean nothing.
They were tossing up between Arnold and Montgomery, but Arnold said no to the job.
It makes him football Scottish, not actual Scottish, the rules are different.
Ask Danny Boyle, I believe he is across the rules about who’s Scottish and who’s Australian.
He’s actually been Australian since 2017.
Good luck to Monty but thats gutting for the Mariners
Wouldn’t they be happy? This is their model.
It’s a massive loss for the Mariners. And on the eve of the transfer window closing, whoever walks in won’t be able to shape the side much until Jan.
You’d assume at this point they’d go internally again.
Think he took his staff though
Monty took his assistant and goal keeper coach. He would be half the coach without those two.
Well. I hope it doesn’t lead to another decade of obscurity and failure like the last time a half decent coach left them.
What’s the consensus amongst the fans? Been around for a few days now but still must be absolute dreadful news to get.
So, is Matt Simon still there?
Acceptance with disappointment. It was always going to happen. Most wish him well.
Most are accepting we are a development and selling club giving youth exposure and experience.
The main worry is that the Club gets his replacement correct.
Yes.
It’s disappointing but it’s who we are (in both the positive “we’re about opportunities” and the “happiness is fleeting” senses)
