“UNEXPECTED ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA!”

I wish I could say I was surprised at her comment.

All I want and all I need. All I want is a good pub feed!

The problem I have with pub steaks is that they are rarely ever seasoned properly before cooking, not cooked from room temperature and not rested properly. So you can have a steak looks cooked well, but still tastes boring as fuck (without a tonne of pepper sauce on top of it) and is too chewy.

Conceptually though, it does make me smile…so it’s not all doom and gloom.

3 Swallows Hotel on the corner of Rookward Rd & Hume Highway on the Bankstown/Yagoona border.

Excellent pub feed. $19 “tradies” special. 300g steak, chips, salad and a beer.

The only issue I have, is when I first went there 2 years ago for a work lunch, the tradies special was $12. Then last year $15. Now its $19. Still a decent price and good feed, but I liked it better when it was $12.

I mean considering how much tradies make, i’m surprised they don’t cost $50

When we used to jig school in Year 12 we used to go to the Three Swallows to play pokies and drink.

Menai High emblem was the Welsh dragon and we told the publican that we worked for the Red Dragon Carpet Cleaning company.

I bet this place has changed since then.

Menai is a long way from the pub lol.

That was 1995 so yeah it probably has changed a tad.

For some unknown reason the cool place to go was Bankstown, we’d play pool at Bankstown Billiards a lot too.

This looks mildly interesting.

Imagine winning a $200mill powerball but someone else won as well.

We had a syndicate at work with about 25 people in it.
Given the number of tickets sold, it was highly unlikely that there’d be just one winner and I thought that there’d be 4.
If we were one of those winners then I’d get $2m. It’s rather disheartening knowing that I’d still have to go back to work.

On a side note, a friend of mine won the Div 2 prize pool last year. He got all of the numbers except for the Powerball.
Apparently you can buy a ticket, for a slightly higher price, that guarantees you get the Powerball. He didn’t buy that kind of ticket.

Poor Johnny, probably saved his life tho.

Is this going to happen to these two winners?

Chances is an Australian prime time soap opera which aired from 29 January 1991 to 30 December 1992 on Nine Network.[1] The show was initially pitched by production company Beyond International, as a straightforward drama revolving around a middle-class family whose lives are transformed when they win $3 million in the lottery. However, the network requested raunchier, more erotic storylines in the vein of Number 96 and The Box, with contractually-obligated nudity and sex scenes. Later episodes diverged considerably from the show’s original premise, with increasingly bizarre plots involving man-eating plants, devil worshippers and neo-Nazi cults.[2]

Think I’d go ok with a 100 mil!
