Cheerleaders 2018

I just hit a wall one day and realised i really didn’t want any physical media anymore. It was refreshing getting rid of a lot of it.

Finished my second year of nursing.
Got a mental health placement coming up. I’m going to enjoy the christmas break.

Pretty crazy to think that in 12 months I will be a nurse.

Plan is to commission and stay around for a while longer.

Some very nice looking gear.

Hate rugby and sort of pretend to like league for class pride reasons only but holy shit thats some nice stuff.

Far too similar to Eastern Suburbs gear for mine…

Oh yeah, wouldn’t be caught dead wearing that.

This cheese steak from Fat Franks on King St is pretty good.

Is it? I’ve been wanting try that place but not been heading in to work in the area of late, working from home instead.

Yep.

The chips are good too.

Would eat again.

12 bucks for a combo is alright.

Fat franks is awesome. A mate of mine who is obsessed with cheesesteaks says it’s one of the best he’s had too.

I had a couple good ones in Philly a number of years ago now but have never really found anywhere locally that does them very authentically. Even keener to try this joint now.

Not been to philly but they’re not hard to make yourself.

Use the processed sliced burger cheese from Coles.

The issue with most here are that the bread they use in Philly is very specific and without it they never quite taste right. Can’t remember what my mate said specifically to me from talking to the owner of fat franks but they import the bread or something to that effect so it’s as legit as possible.

The closest thing to a cheese steak I’ve had is from Subway.

But I guess that doesn’t count. Although the Italian herbs and cheese bread is always a plus.

They have bread ovens in there.

Yep.

But it works better than other cheeses in the right context.

The Brooklyn Bridge Deli philly cheese steak is pretty good but I don’t know if I’d say it is authentic. I remember the American ones I had were definitely greasier.

Do they still do schnitzel and cheese at Bill and Tony’s?
