Cheerleaders 2018

It’s the equivalent of buying a Coles bread roll and making your own Banh Mi at home… Just doesn’t work.

That Fat Franks cheese steak was one of the worst things I’ve eaten in quite some time. I was sober though.

A Christmas story in four parts.

That’s an even more ridiculous source then.

They are weird people. I was talking to a customer a couple of days ago and just wrapping up the call and out of nowhere he’s says; “Are you into crypto?” When I say no he says; “You’ve got my email and if you need help to get into in send me an email. Make sure it’s not from your work account.”

Saw an article on ABC news earlier in the week, people who have been ‘stung’ by crypto schemes… one young couple complaining about losing money they had saved for a house deposot… they wacked down $50k on crypto saying they knew people getting 2000% returns. Hard to feel sorry for them really - I mean, what young person saving for a house is going to throw $50k around like that…

I read that the other day.

They didn’t get scammed by crypto, they got scammed because they gave their money to con artists. Two very different scenarios.

They got scammed cause they kept watching tiktoks about people getting rich super fast.

True, they didn’t lose their cash in crypto - it was taken by someone preying on the idea that people are willing to throw $60k+ at something because influencers say they have made a 2000% profit and some bloke is scouring through a rubbish dump somewhere looking for a hard drive.

It is harsh for me to say I don’t feel sorry for them, because I do - they have been taken for a ride by a lot more than just these dodgy scammers preying on some mid-20’s with $$$.

So the 1st couple were scammed with fake websites, phone calls and the lot. The only thing is that they were cold called about investing. There’s obviously a family lawyer etc. but surely you would have gotten the lawyer to have a look first? I mean if you’re throwing $100k at an unregulated market, then surely you’d do a shitload of due diligence?

The 2nd guy just seemed daft. Did a check of reviews and they all came up good, then did a second “deeper” check and found negative reviews. Then on top of that: “They said ‘if the cryptocurrency exchange asks, just say the wallet belongs to you, don’t mention the name of our company’”. I mean what the actual hell???

The only one I truly feel sorry for was the 3rd as she actually had no clue what was happening, only that she’d clicked a link that gave them access to her computer…

Mobile reception has turned to shit completely at my workplace, near canberra airport in the last week or so. Lots of different people mentioning it.

I thought i would speak to telstra about it. After a bit of a conversation the person from telstra tells me that it’s because the planes from the airport are blocking the signal and I should use wifi.

I’m assisting our occupational hygienists in sourcing Asbestos Air Monitoring Pumps. We’re looking to purchase about 20 and the initial pumps are around $1700 each, we found something else for $1100 each. They’re paying for the lot so I’m saving them $12,000. I got a sample, sent it to one of the hygienists to let us know if they like them and are happy to use them and then go ahead with the purchase.

Just got an email today from their Business Unit Manager that they would be charging us for half an hour of the Hygienists’ time, that he spent playing around with the pump. Would be about $75… I’m currently going to send her a bill for 2 hours of my time and 2 hours of the Sydney Lab Managers’ time in organizing these. Looking to be about $800…

Telstra sent me this from their mobile fault technicians

“Unfortunately, customers that live very close to airports do tend to have disruption issues. Airplanes break up your signals as they come and go and there is nothing on the market that can correct or keep that from occurring. The planes act as moving metal barriers that block the signals when they pass through the signal stream.”

It’s a copy and paste from a random helpdesk website

They’ve also told me to use wifi calling to use my internet reception for calls.
The internet reception I don’t have, that I’ve contacted them to rectify.

Lol there one plane every 30 mins during peak times!

yeah we’ve been laughing because none of us have heard a plane for hours

Planes can kill Optus in the sham.

This is permanent though, all day.

Why don’t you just change Telco’s?
