I wonder if it’s when they do their admin then because my psych refund time is exactly the same as my dr. If you take a debit card they can refund it straight away onto it.

If not admin time, I wonder if it’s your financial institution? I’m on ING for my rebates.

Well, the issue of how long it takes from Medicare confirming the rebate to how long it takes to appear in my account is a thing all on its own.

I’m talking about from the moment I put in the claim on MyGov, to getting the letter which says the rebate has been granted. And this particular psychologist doesn’t really do admin beyond sending me an unpaid invoice.

It could be the psychologist? I’m assuming they need to log details in with medicare as well?

Thanks. I’ll ask her next appointment.

My old man has been sending me daily weather updates, he lives down south. Winter looks like it been proper fucked over there this year. Hitting -43C in some parts of Lapland.

That sounds ultra appealing compared to Australia’s humidity in summer.

Added bonus - no flies. Or Mosquitos. And every day is hearty stout drinking day.

We were up the coast in Smith’s Like, the mosquitos were fucking terrible. That and for some reason the house was filled with a few hundred tiny moths. We’re 99% sure they can from a packet of sunflower seeds we bought for my daughter to feed the birds.

I think the worst mosquitos i’ve ever experienced was up near Luleå in the summer. They also have these bastard flies that bite a small chunk out of your skin and leave you with a massive welt.

Worst for me was on the Bug River on the border with Belarus in Poland. The air was literally black at points and the f*ckers were bighting through clothing.

I mean, you can’t say you didn’t have ample warning.

“Where we going?”
“Bug river”
“Shall I bring the Aeroguard?”
“Nah, she’ll be right”.

Not western Australia :grin::grin:

I’ll take a 38° day in Perth over 28° over east with humidity

If you have a car with cruise control, fucking use it. It’s essentially ubiquitous now right? Even in stock models if they’re under about 15 years old.

Sick to death of overtaking people slower than me who then speed up so I duck in behind them to get out of the fast lane… only for them to slow down again.

I reckon it’s this.

Cruise control is awesome.

There was a few night shifts that I am pretty sure my cruise control, lane keep and steering assistance did most of the driving home.

Do 130-40. The adrenaline kick is safer imo.

I was also in a car many years ago that went within two inches of colliding with a car at 120 km/h because the fuckwit refused to disengage cruise control.

Cruise control is one of those things that is only awesome if used properly.

My brother lives just outside Gothenburg, doesn’t normally get too cold there, but it has been bad the last few weeks. He said it was -22 when he was waiting for the bus this morning.

Distance setting radar these days avoids this problem. Made cruise control truly awesome.

I set it with the GPS to the speed limit. I think one of the problems with driving is that all factory speedos are low.

Tis wondrous.
