Didn’t somebody call in a bomb threat at Westmead just last week? I remember hearing on the radio to work that the Police had swarmed the area and evacuating a wing?

Local had an 80’s Music Bingo night, and the first song played was Spandau Ballet - Gold.

Of course I was belting out the Bobo version (despite the strange looks from other punters).

Saturday night sorted.

Free stuff ftw.

Apparently paying Telstra bills gives free Telstra points these days. After a period of complete and utter non-awareness I stumbled across enough points to order a free pair of Sony noise cancelling in-ear buds, perfect for those occasions (SFC games) where storing the usual big over-ear cans is a pain. They were ordered around midday yesterday and beat me into the office, as they were already on my desk at 8:30am this morning.

Finally getting Full Fibre internet at home.

I live in a part of London, where up until recently we could only get ADSL2+, with speeds reaching the dizzying heights of 14Mbps download and 0.9 upload.

The difference is incredible!

I get between 25 and 50mbps usually. Fast enough but still feels like we’re behind where we should be.

Working plans to get back to Sydney in the new year

Got a week off starting tomorrow and going to my first ever Chinese Super League game on Saturday to see Adrian Mierzejewski’s Henan FC. He’s been playing from the bench a lot recently so I just hope he gets on the pitch.

Spring weather out here, holy shit i feel like a different person. Getting out in the garden, getting some trees in the ground, watching all the trees i planted last season come to life again. Amazing shit.

The buildup is just starting here.

Temps have gone up a few degrees to ~35 and the humidity is slowly getting into the 30s. With el nino and IOD, expecting a long and hot buildup this year.

Mango madness :sleepy:

Ha, yeah we cracked into the 20+ in the last couple of weeks and i feel like im living in the tropics. It’s feeling unusually warm and I am a bit worried the new growth on our fruit trees is going to get wrecked by a cold snap.

Final day of the month, had my best month ever in terms of numbers. Exhausted, and do it all again for October.

Cheering for the long weekend.

Counting down the minutes till 5pm, and then I’ll drink a Vodka drink, a whiskey drink, a lager drink, and a cider drink. I’ll sing the songs that remind me of the good times, and the songs that remind me of the better times.

5pm is for chumps, I mic dropped and walked out the office without saying a word at 3:30.

We were drinking in the office at 330. Love a long weekend.

Half day fridays every week

The Baxter. That is all.

Yep best bar in the city imho. Not a regular as it can get really expensive really quickly but every now and then for sure. I would do my basement like that if I was rich, and had a basement

After a long hiatus I’ve been getting back into the home whisky collection. Too many late night calls for work and my office is downstairs with an appropriately high shelf (off camera of course).

Pleasantly enamoured with this from Bathurst of all places. The few of you stuck out there should give these guys a visit
