Then why is he like that on screen?
Then why is he like that on screen?
You’d have to ask him. While I can understand why fans complain he must be doing something right because he’s carved out a good career in broadcasting, surviving the Fox Sports debacle, which claimed a quality presenter in Peacock.
You mean Adam Peacock, who is currently working the Olympics for Stan and hosts multiple podcasts and radio shows , as well as writing for multiple publications.
I imagine part of it at least is to be entertaining as well as to inform. To drive social media discussion, as well.
I’m saying Paramount passed on Peacock but brought Harper on board. Whoever identifies talent at Paramount rated Harper.
And that is working out brilliantly
Strange thing to say. Issues with the broadcast arrangement have nothing to do with the on-air talent. Even McBreen has improved.
Harper is known (and mocked) for his cliches but I always thought he was better suited to the Peacock role anyway. A bit like Ben Ikin with NRL 360, ex-players can actually be quite cerebral and are comfortable anchoring the show.
I’ve always said the same, he’s actually really, really good at steering the conversation and probing panelists when in the hosts chair.
This conversation is really making me lust after Fox Sports FC. RIP old friend.
I don’t watch those discussion shows but he’s the most irritating commentator in the league. He doesn’t engage me, entertain me, or inform me. Now you could say that about most commentators to be honest but Harper actively irritates, and at times aggravates me.
Remember, half the bell curve is on the left.
My hair dresser believes schools in Perth have kitty litter for kids that identify as furries.
I have more questions about you having a hairdresser tbh
Wait till you see the locks at their flowing best, then you’ll understand…
The public sector melting down over this WFH mandate.
Fuck I dream of us opening our office again…
As I understand, it’s bringing people back 3 days a week, with flexible arrangements for those that need it. So they’re going hybrid rather than allowing strict WFH.
This is an unwinding of some pretty extraordinary arrangements, but it’s not a complete unwinding and there remains flexibility for those that need it, so whilst I get that there’ll be some push and shove I think it will work well.
I love that they didn’t even pretend what the reason for the change was.
Big city office companies are losing too much money.
Years ago I showed up there for a flight to Milan 5 hours late & the plane was still on the runway because fog had closed Linate.
Does the boost to CBD business outweigh the boost to local business across the state that WFH provides? For all the talk about support for young families and getting women back into the work force I think mandated office days are bullshit
