Sydney FC Head Coach Steve Corica has extended his contract with the club by a further two years, which will see him remain in the Sky Blues’ hot-seat until the end of Hyundai A-League 2021-22 season.

Corica has overseen a Hyundai A-League Championship win during his first season in charge and commits his future to the club with the Sky Blues five points clear at the top of the ladder, having recorded the joint-best start to an A-League season in history.

In confirming his extension, the Sky Blues Hall of Fame Member said there was no better place to be coaching at present.

“These are very special times to be involved with Sydney FC and I’m certain there will be many more memories and good times ahead.

“We have a fantastic culture right throughout the club and my own staff and players play a huge part in that.

“They are a pleasure to work with every day and they show the utmost professionalism in everything we do, which is why I had no hesitation in committing my future here,” said the 46-year old.

“We’ve a long way to go this season but I’m confident we are on the right track to achieve more success and we have the right players on board to do that.”
