The SFCU Football Haiku Thread
Today at work I had an epiphany and it is this. It is the rules of haiku that make it one of the most difficult forms to master, so why not add another rule to make it even more of a challenge and to help make this never ending off-season pass more quickly.

It has seven syllables in the second line.
Its lines don’t rhyme.
It includes a kigo, a seasonal reference.
That we add another rule.
Each line must reference a footballing cliche
By way of example, here are my own two humble offerings
A game of two halves
The heavens have opened up
Magic of the cup
New season signing
Adjusting to a hard pitch
A barnstorming run
