Looking at ticket prices.
It’s cheaper for tickets to Kiwoom Heros games in the KBO.
WHat’s a jersey worth? I payed about $80 for a Kiwoom mesh shirt.

Missus and I paid $200 for a 10 game membership, it’s flexible but we just book 2 seats and go to each home stand so it works out to $20 each. Food and bev options used to be better but it’s usually a cruisy afternoon in the sun sinking a few and having a feed.
The new jersey’s are $80:
I dig the new logo cos imo anything’s better than the angry sock thing, they look nice but can’t justify it as I still rock the old “ Sunday classic” Blue Sox jersey which is a sweet Toronto Blue Jay’s ripoff.
They should just have a photo of Goodwin and Leckie scoring on the picture
Hopefully it is at the SFS rather than Olympic park
Always one step forward two steps back of late. This is a farce.
Shit decision, but it would be hard to turn down $10+m
I get the money side of it, but it seems short-sighted. For finals that don’t feature any NSW teams, you’ll always get some fans willing to travel, but you’re not going to fill the SFS with travelling fans. And while you will get some locals who may be interested in attending as a neutral (I would), the atmposphere will be vastly different. Match winning goal for example - most of the stadium would just be clapping in appreciation rather than cheering with elation.
Yeah, as mentioned in the other thread this is a shocker of a decision. Short of a Syd v WSW final ever year for the next 3 seasons, this is bound to flop.
Bad for the league and bad for the NSW taxpayer, but who else is offering $10 million to the sport? I get why they did it but I feel like this is going to cost us long term.
Maybe we’ll also get a parade and a public holiday the Friday before…
Cant wait till we finish 6th, scrape into the grand final and then host it against Melbourne Victory…
Yup a Melbourne derby final or a Victory/Adelaide final in Sydney would be so much worse a spectacle. Get we need the money and cant really refuse the figures being mentioned but still seems bad
This sucks, takes away one really unique element of the A-League.
If I recall correctly wasn’t there a CCM v Jet’s Grand Final at the SFS back in the day?
The Wanderers vs. CCM GF was also at the SFS. The excuse both times was that the home stadium was too small at 20K. Those were controversial enough, let alone making Perth travel across the country to play the GF if they qualify from 1st spot like they did in 2029.
Yes. It actually got a respectable 33k turnout, but that’s possible when both clubs are within a 2.5 hr drive or train journey from the final. Anyone else and they’re limited to that small set of available flights.
Oh no it’s still going. I think the other thread is the thread for this?
