Grand Final - Perth Stadium Sunday 19 May

Any idea Sponsor of any Perth cbd ( or thereabouts) pubs that would be showing the election coverage on Saturday night?

Standards are slipping, that’s all I can say

Didn’t expect there to be anything but didn’t want to miss out if there was.

I don’t have any specific suggestions as it isn’t something I have ever had to think about.

I would Imagine most pubs would be showing the AFL as the Dockers play at 5.25 after that I wouldn’t expect you to have an problems getting it switched over.

Cheers. I forget AFL is a thing over there.

It’s the only thing over here.
Even this week it’s still the top story.

There are still some frequent flyer seats available on both Virgin and Qantas if anyone is still tossing up whether to go and a cash fare is too much.

If anyone still needs a ticket I have a spare.

Against my better judgement, I’m becoming very excited for this trip. Tomorrow at work is going to be a tough slog.

Same here. Work output is dropping at an alarming rate while Sydney fc YouTube videos watched is at an all time high.

I just received a handy email from Ticketmaster advising event details at Optus Stadium… for West Coast vs Melbourne in the fucking VFL.

GGF you useless cunts.

Maybe they thought you might want to go on Friday night to sneak a few things into the stadium early.

Just noticed mine too.

Just got an apology email from them. I don’t understand why companies do this. Now you’ve bothered me twice.

They have one job…

It’s an AFL trap to set the media agenda.
You see if we all turned up to the match and there was the weekly outbreak of crowd violence in the stands they get to pin it on the Suburban Terrorist Soccer Hooligans who turned up with the sole intent of causing violence.
Duh…

Pre-game - We’ve booked WACA Sails bar from 12, $4 schooners and food specials, loads of room, leave at 3:30pm for the Stadium.

Post-Game - Win or lose we’ve booked the Blasta Brewery www.blastabrewing.com room for 250+ $8 & $10 pint specials and $15 pizza special, its about 15 min walk from the stadium.

A cold snap has hit Perth overnight with lows around 3C which will be staying around all weekend and the area we have been able to secure at Blasta for our exclusive use is outside so keep that in mind when leaving for the game.

Outstanding. My brother lives in Perth but is away Fri - Sun arvo. I was already meeting him at Blasta straight after the game as he’s got birthday drinks for a cycling mate there as soon as he gets back in.

Not sure if I should pre-warn him.

The inside area will still be open to the public as they have pre-existing dinner reservations to cater for.

While Blasta is only a relatively short and mostly level walk from the stadium there is a small hill or some stairs depending on the route taken. If anyone has special mobility needs it is located 100m from Burswood train station. The train will be free with your match ticket so no need to purchase anything just jump on.

Burswood is one stop from Perth Stadium Station heading East (away from the city).

For those who are planning an all nighter once Blasta close (around 12am) the Casino has a 24/7 licence alternatively Northbridge will have some further options back in the City.
