I suppose the only reason Jamie is “tucking the tail” here and not Krishna, Paartalu, Cumdog or any of the others who have gone there for the obvious pay raise is that none of them argue with people on Instagram about their form. He’s very sensitive to that.

Douchery aside, man we should’ve gone for him when he was the best off-contract Aussie 9 but somehow still couldn’t get a start at Perth. He went to Brisbane, started games and started breaking records, while we had that post-Janko season where Brosque went down and we only had dino-Smeltz up top.
Maclaren would’ve been a better overall player under Arnold. He certainly wouldn’t be the lazy sod he is now.
He certainly could’ve filled the role of tap-in merchant a year before we landed Bobo.
If we had peak Maclaren, Arnold would probably have never got Bobo, as Maclaren would’ve been deemed sufficient.
And then we would never have had the greatest player song ever devised, maybe just as well.

Yeah, but I don’t think making eye contact with McLaren in the stands at Belmore would make one quivery in the knees like Bobo did.
