It's to Hot in Dallas in Winter! - The NHL Thread

No! The Blackhawks’ front office is atrocious and has been several years. Essentially since McDonough was forced out (rightfully). Even then, he was on a downward slide ever since the Quenneville firing. The season where Hossa missed its entirety due to a skin condition was the beginning of the end.

The problem is Kane and Toews’ massive contracts with no trade clauses. A rebuild has been needed, but without moving them the organisation keep trading away the exact type of players you’d rebuild around (DeBrincat, Dach and going back a few years Panarin, Saad, etc.).

They didn’t notice (or couldn’t do much due to the locked contracts of the stars) our blue line slowing and aging and hanging on to Seabrook and Keith too long really fucked our current defense.

I’m hoping Kane and Toews agree to be traded and we go into full rebuild mode but I’m really not confident in our front office today.

At least they’ve both only got the one year left.

All the more reason to trade them!

Suck it, Jubal. :fire:

We’ll revisit that one in a couple of months. We were not good.

Indeed. Your guys played the night before, as well as the hangover from the Cup celebrations.

Also flight delays, 4am arrival at the hotel.

tell ya what. $5 (vibe) a month for every game on Fetch, brilliant! Thank you ESPN.

Anyone going to the AIHL Sydney derby on the 15th?
I am. Go, uh, the Bears, I guess. They formed in the north, where I grew up, as opposed to WS, where the Ice Dogs were formed. (Disclaimer: I don’t care THAT much.)

I started going last season with a mate, it’s fun but the Ice Dogs sucked pretty bad, they’ve signed a couple of US/Canadian players this year so might be worth a look

HOCKEY NIGHT IN SYDNEY!
Go Bears.

Anyone going down to Melbourne for Kings vs Coyotes?

I’d be interested if it weren’t two nothing teams…

I’m mostly the same, tbh if it was regular season I would probably go. The cost is extortionate, but I miss live hockey.

Same, I’d go if it was a regular season game (in reality I’d go for both games and take a few days down there) but i cannot be arsed to invest the time and money for a preseason match

The New York Police v The New York Fire Department with the Fireies doing some brutality on the Police.

17,000 fans for the annual match… insane atmosphere by the look of it

Australian Ice Hockey is now streaming, same platform as NPL, but $60 a year. Very handy for away games.
