Fagiano Okayama remain the last unbeaten team in J2 this season. Fujieda MYFC escaped the winless section with a 1-0 win away at Montedio Yamagata.

Omiya Ardija and FC Osaka remain unbeaten in J3, while Kamatamare Sanuki, YSCC Yokohama, Iwate Grulla Morioka and Tegevajaro Miyazaki are still winless. Kamatamare are the “Drawmasters” though - 5 draws from their opening 6 games in the J3 season.

Across all the leagues, the teams left in contention for “last survivor” unbeaten:

FC Machida Zelvia, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Cerezo Osaka, Gamba Osaka, Fagiano Okayama, Vegalta Sendai, Omiya Ardija, FC Osaka.

And those still chasing the dreaded “biggest loser” of last to taste a win:

Tokyo Verdy, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, Thespa Gunma, Kamatamare Sanuki, YSCC Yokohama, Iwate Grulla Morioka, Tegevajaro Miyazaki.

I don’t follow the league but I enjoy your enthusiasm of the league!

It’s just one of the little joys in life.

International break is over so we could enjoy three tiers of J.League football over this long weekend.

The Machida Zelvia miracle start to the season continues, a 3-1 win over Sagan Tosu sees Zelvia with 4 wins and a draw from their first five games in J1 football. Mitch Duke is not really featuring highly though, he came on as a 94th minute substitute.

Mitch Langerak had a better day out, Nagoya Grampus put some pain onto Harry Kewell and Yokohama F.Marinos, a 92nd minute winner for Grampus.

How did Kewell swing the Yokohama job?

He’s Australian  I guess they figure it worked out very well the last two times, stick to the formula.

Off the mark. :+1:

Comedy in threes maybe. Hope it doesn’t bite them too hard.

You are correct! Thespa Gunma get their first win too and escape the cursed winless collective as well. No more J2 teams contending for last winless.

Machida Zelvia, Cerezo Osaka, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Gamba Osaka, Fagiano Okayama, Vegalta Sendai, Omiya Ardija, FC Osaka still going unbeaten so far.

Tokyo Verdy, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, Kamatamare Sanuki, Tegevajaro Miyazaki the last four remaining winless.

Midweek round of J1 and J2 tonight

Yokohama F Marinos vs Kawasaki Frontale, should be a challenge for Kewell let’s see if he’s more subdued tonight after the temper tantrum on the weekend.

We have some more casualties for the unbeaten teams, and some first time winners!

The Machida Zelvia miracle run is over, they were defeated 2-1 by Sanfrecce Hiroshima last night. Fagiano Okayama tasted defeat at the hands of Yokohama FC and Vegalta Sendai lost to Ehime FC.

There are no J2 teams left unbeaten in this new season.

Tokyo Verdy have their first J1 win since 18th October, 2008! More late goals (75th and 86th minute) saw them beat Shonan Bellmare 2-1.

Cerezo Osaka, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Gamba Osaka march on (but have only played 6 games, Okayama and Sendai fell on their 8th), Omiya Ardija and FC Osaka still alive.

Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo the last remaining J1 team yet to find a win, along with Kamatamare Sanuki and Tegevajaro Miyazaki in J3.

Decent opener for Urawa, although they ended up losing 2-1 to FC Tokyo:

No GK is expecting that. Just a great goal.

It’s extra sweet that it happens to a team like Urawa.

Fuck 'em!

For anyone not up to date with the latest of Urawa fans fuckwittery, they were kicked out of participating in the Emperor’s Cup this year because of fan violence last season.

Interesting I hadn’t heard of that. I always thought the Japanese fans were squaky clean in regards to this sort of stuff

Urawa fans are like a cross between the RBB and SUS.

Wow what a hit. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a halfway goal so flat… The curve on it too, and hitting the back of the net instead of the ground, that’s a sweet strike.

Midweek and weekend results up tonight, but the big moment so far was Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo beating Gamba Osaka, they’ve escaped the dreaded winless category!
