i fail 2 and 3… so close!
i fail 2 and 3… so close!
Still can’t ride this bike yet.
First it was the weather but the last two weeks it’s been a sprained left wrist and an infected left leg after a failed attempt to board a bus in Enmore on St Pat’s Day (coincidence). Couldn’t even squeeze the toothpaste tube let alone close the clutch.
Which got me thinking about which insurance to go with. I was recommended Swann by the bike shop. Are there “extras” insurance that companies offer that are a waste of time & money?
Im lazy. I just use NRMA.
Rego expired last June and I only reregistered it a couple of weeks ago. Rode it to work a few times and then 500+km to Moree today.
It hasnt missed a beat. I, on the other hand, am not bike fit and am buggered.
2,500kms, made it to Seventeen Seventy this afternoon.
I think that’s about as far north as I can go unfortunately.
Learned a few things along the way, like don’t take on 4wd roads on your own and respect the slipperiness of the concrete base under the fords on those “roads”.
Nice!
Ive done causeways on enduro tyres to street tyres and everything in between. Never had a problem.
How long did it take you to get there?
To get to 1770?
I left Sydney on Monday 12 Sept.
That’s a few stays here and there, Jez & Elaine are in the UK and let me use their place on Bribie Island while they are gone. & I have friends near Maleny (gorgeous countryside) I also visited.
Setting up the tent in 1770 yesterday afternoon was a drag after the ride from Hervey Bay which was further than I realised.
Meaning it’s going to be a trek heading back I guess.
Disappointed to hear I’ll be heading back to a NSW that’s under School Holidays Mandates, I figure if I stay away from the coast I’ll be alright.
I expect I went through the last ford too slow after going through the first few not thinking about it, I thought I would go slower to reduce the wake and drenching my trousers…
Ironically it was the shallowest of the lot of them.
I hit the ground so fast I was in the water without reacting.
I was lucky I rode through the high side as I could have lost the bike over the edge.
I was carrying far too much to be doing that sort of thing as well.
I got back from Gladstone via Moree in two days earlier this year. Bigger bike thou.
The packing thing will be trial an error.
I use a less now than i did when I started.
Enjoy it!
You’ve changed
Its a 650 on the LAMS list!
Five times bigger than anyone should need!
There’s nothing quite like the Stewart Highway to change that opinion …
But yeah, I dont like it for everyday. Just too big.
97…!!
Yeah, get a 125cc bike.
Green slip windows are huge. You’re in the same bracket as my 650cc bike.
Using the online service their doesn’t seem to be any better, QBE it is.
