When asked at the airport if she was carrying any prohibited items with her, Goodson claimed she was not, the court was told.
“What about the gun in your bag?” she was asked by a customs officer.
Goodson replied: “Oh yeah, I forgot about that.”
A review of Goodson’s phone revealed she had searched online “can I have a gun in my suitcase?” and set a calendar entry with a note reminding her to “put gun in suitcase”.
The calendar bit sounds like a Coen Brothers movie

Sounds like they caught him after some old bloke called up the cops in McDonalds. Although the Mayor of New York came out saying that: They have then name of the suspect, but they don’t want to reveal it, as they don’t want the suspect to know that they have his name…
Didn’t do a great job in making his escape. Still had the gun, still had the ID he checked into the hostel with and a document outlining his plan and motivation
Which makes me think he had more targets.

A man has been charged with murder for the brazen shooting of the UnitedHealthcare’s CEO in New York, after a McDonald’s customer in another state spotted him.
Luigi Nicholas Mangione, a 26-year-old Ivy League graduate from a prominent Maryland real estate family, had a gun believed to be the one used in last Wednesday’s shooting of Brian Thompson, as well as writings suggesting anger with corporate America, police said.
He deserves to be caught for going to Macca’s. As an Italian he should have been holed up with several trays of home cooked lasagne. Would have never been caught.

I think it’s pretty obvious he wanted to get caught, he sees himself as some kind of martyr for ‘the people’ striking a blow for the man on the street

Now it has been revealed that Gunn’s lawyers, Glebe-based 17 Degrees, are demanding at least $10,000 from Skinner in legal fees. He offered $500, which the law firm has “completely rejected”. All proceeds from the show were to go to a women’s shelter.
To play devils advocate, it was a pretty shit move by the club to put on a show that would have made her into an even bigger laughing stock, especially doing it without permission on her end. It’s not exactly her fault for being chosen to represent
