Looks good, thanks for the heads-up
Just watched that Chris Hemsworth movie called Extraction on Netflix. Its fucking stupid but it’s cool seeing an Aussie soldier blowing some shit up for a change
Does he say crikey?
" With the obvious disclaimer that one should take Netflix’s own “Our new movie or TV show is a huge hit!” with a grain of salt, they are currently boasting that Chris Hemsworth’s Extraction , which debuted on April 24, is on track to nab 90 million households in its first month of availability. If that comes to pass, it’ll be Netflix’s biggest launch ever. That would be a larger viewership than Michael Bay’s 6 Underground (83 million), Sandra Bullock’s Bird Box (80 million), the first season of Henry Cavill’s The Witcher (76 million) and the Adam Sandler/Jennifer Aniston romantic comedy Murder Mystery (73 million)."
I watched that one ‘6 Underground’ the other day. Not one worth rushing out of your way to see.
If you are in isolation and haven’t watched it in awhile, time to dust off Mad Max Fury Road.
Thanks for posting, looking forward to reading that. I saw this quote from it come out on twitter earlier:
COLIN GIBSON (production designer) I was in Namibia in 2003 when I got the call to stop spending money. I don’t know whether [the studio] decided to reroute their money back to the Iraq war, or if it was the email I got from Mel Gibson’s wife asking me how many Muslims there may or may not be in Namibia and, therefore, how interested she may or may not be in the whole family coming to visit.
God that movie was great.
I recently upgraded a 13 year old telly, going to need to rewatch a whole bunch of movies i think.
Did the actual cinematic release of Fury Road Black & Chrome still have dialogue?
Cause the version I snaffled has no dialogue and it’s fucking brilliant.
A new Christopher Nolan movie coming out in theatres in July (maybe)
Excellent!
I’m guessing Keanu just agreed to do this so old blonde mate can get some work.
… Not complaining though. Party on!
That’s Mr Alex Winter Esq to you you bogus dude.
Versace.
George Miller showing the kiddy directed comic book movies on how to do action. The colour palette of this movie was incredible as well.
Have you seen black and chrome?
The glorious.
Working through the Godfather trilogy and im halfway through 3. WTF is up with the cousin incest?
Finally got around to watching Apollo 11. Seriously good doco, I particularly liked the lack of narration with the story being told by edited archival footage.
I was a kid at school when it all happened and watching this was like experiencing the awe and wonder of to all all over again… only this time I watched it on a 65” HD TV with home cinema sound and a single malt whiskey in one hand instead of on a 20” black and white TV in my jimmy jams.
