I came home from work on Wednesday night, the night before a 4 day thankgiving weekend. Smashed a couple of tacos and watched the movie in one hit. Stopped once or twice to piss and make a cuppa tea.

Eddie Murphy is kind of great in it imo.

I reckon The Irishman would actually benefit from breaking up over two nights. I saw it in one go and was fading a bit by the end.
Still, great movie and I will probably rewatch.
I watched it in one go but I found the whole de-aging of the main stars really distracting, the CGI was just a little bit off. When De Niro was beating up the shopkeeper for shoving his daughter, it was obviously a 75 year old and not a 35 year old.
I love Scorsese, and his gangster flicks in particular, but this wasn’t even close to Goodfellas or its little brother Casino.
It lacked the great set-pieces, though the dialogue was great.
Knives Out is worth the price of admission

I saw Knives Out last night. Absolutely brilliant. Well written and acted, and a really interesting plot with more laugh out loud moments than I was expecting. The less you know going in the better.
I can highly recommend getting pissed and watching Cats. Oh man, I’ve never seen anything like it.

Parasite gang! Good oscars today.
Yeah, sometimes they don’t fuck it up and they pick the actual best picture. Parasite was just incredible and, unlike most of the best pictures, will stick with me for a long time.
