Movie Thread VII: Adrian's Revenge

Pretty much the only book I remember reading in high school was Bridge to Terabithia in Year 8, then watched the fucking goddamn awful straight-to-TV movie for it.

In case anyone was waiting for Palm Springs to come out in Australia, its going to be streaming for free on Amazon Prime on the 20th of November.

Pretty excited for this one.

Nice. Such a great little movie.

Just finished watching Ex-Machina for the first time since seeing it in the cinema. Such a good movie.

Shameless plug for this Australian sci-fi movie that premieres on Netflix next week. Writer and director is my wife’s cousin.

Wait… It’s about the year 2067 and not Chatswood!? Well, I’m disappointed.

High Country.

Go watch it. The visuals and the soundscape make this one to catch at the cinema with the big screen and the fancy sound.

It’s a visual cornucopia that evokes a sense of longing.

The story is … what you expect a Frontier War story to be. Reprehensible and ultimately sad.

I recommend Another Round. Mads Mikkelson at his best.

Saw Minari today. Some of the best performances I’ve seen in ages in that.

And the kids weren’t fucking atrocious, a plus for any movie that pulls it off.

Good to hear, I think I’m going to see that next week. Bad child actors really just ruin films for me.

Snyder Cut anyone? I had pretty low expectations for both story and production but I thought it was great. Warner really shat the bed with that whole saga

There’s some curiosity to watch it but not sure I could handle four hours of it.

That’s my afternoon plan once the game is called off

Is it on a service in Australia that has nothing to do with sailing the high seas in search of booty?

Its on Binge and apparently Foxtel.

I have a local copy.
