Movie Thread VII: Adrian's Revenge

A quiet place 2 is very good. The first was 8.5 and this one is 8/10

I found it wasn’t quite as tense and there were more moments where characters just seemed to do obviously dumb stuff, but it was still really good.

I saw First Cow over the weekend. It’s a good slow burn with some great performances.

I was looking at what content might be available in Paramount+. I had expected that all Paramount films would be there, but sounds like the existing distribution deals with other platforms would remain in place which is a bit disappointing.

For any fans of The Godfather, this would be of interest:

The headline original will be The Offer , a 10-part drama miniseries that details producer Al Ruddy’s experience creating what’s widely considered one of the best films of all time, The Godfather .

I just watched Waiting For The Barbarians on Amazon.

It was tres excellent.

The pacing, lighting, scenery, acting and non typical storyline for those raised on Hollywood.

Just finished watching Judas and the Black Messiah. Really good to see the black power movement not watered down. Great movie.

I just watched Nomadland.

I’m not quite sure what to make of it beyond the brilliant score and magnificent cinematography.

I love it, another masterful Francis McDormand performance.

Apparently the book is even better and way more damning of a society that requires the elderly to work until they’re on their deathbed.

Vibe cinema.

100%, much more critical of Amazon, and focuses more on the way of life of these people. An excellent read

I hate being THAT person, but it’s one of those movies where you have to see it on the big screen.

I don’t have 2 grand to spend on a fuck off telly!

Only cost me $23 at the Dendy to see it a couple of months ago.

I’m not allowed in the Dendy on account of you’re all filth riddled disease monkeys!

Does this mean there’s a release date now?

The Tomorrow War on Amazon takes the concepts of alien invasion and time travel and manages them make them boring as shit. Truly impressive effort.

Looks to be an October release.

We were expecting shit and found we actually enjoyed it.
Nothing mind blowing but a fun movie.

Just watched 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

It’s quite good.
