That’s the one.
That’s the one.
Late night with the devil - 7/10.
Interesting idea, done pretty well. Could have been better, but it was good to see a movie from a different perspective.
Woman of the hour - 7/10.
Not as good as I was hoping, but based in a true story so not as much leeway. Anna Kendrick was great again though.
I watched Late Night with the Devil, it was, as you say, interesting, couple of good jump scares but otherwise a bit too reliant on its premise rather than script or dialogue.
We watched both the last couple of nights as well.
Thought late night was great, really well done.
I thought woman of the hour was trash, complete waste of time.
Also so many changes to things that were widely known and the actor looks nothing like the actual killer.
I’ve seen Late Night With The Devil a couple of times now and it’s very enjoyable. Solid premise that is pretty well executed and some fun performances in it. I’ve been recommending it to people who want a horror movie that isn’t going to keep them awake at night.
Australian film, for those who don’t know.
Has anyone else picked up tickets to go see any of the Akira Kurosawa films that are getting a screening across Sydney in 4K up scaling over the next month? We’ve got tickets to see High and Low and Seven Samurai and I’m really excited to see the latter in 4K in particular, having not seen it in at least 15 years. I’ve never seen High and Low but I’m very curious to see what Kurosawa could do outside of a samurai context.
Some of the films he made before his samurai movies are amazing. The stories of different broken people all trying to make their way through life in the years after the end of the war, I think they’re incredible.
One Wonderful Sunday (1947)
Drunken Angel (1948)
The Quiet Duel (1949)
Stray Dog (1949)
Scandal (1950)
Ikiru (1952)
Is a hell of a run of quality storytelling and film making.
Was lucky enough to see Seven Samurai a few weeks ago for the first time. It looks amazing and for a long film it didn’t feel like it at all.
In a fortnight I’m off to see Rashoman which I’m really looking forward to.
I would have loved to see this on the big screen, an amazing film.
Just saw the new Hugh Grant film Heretic. If you like a horror that has some comedic elements like Barbarian then this should be a good one for you.
Might wait till Thursday to see it and Gladiator 2 together
Well, i saw Gladiator 2.
Do not recommend.
That is a very good trailer. Will have to watch the others over the holidays. Cant wait
Epic!
That looks amazing. The first two were awesome movies as well!
^ The first one was. The second not so much.
This is the correct answer for a Christmas movie.
