Just saw the trailer for Superman. Looks like it’s going to be a mess.

I thought it was very promising. A return to hopeful, fun Superman.

I’m not really up with who’s bad and who’s good and what not but there looked to be about half a dozen different antagonists? Seemed like too much going on for one film. Maybe I misunderstood some of it, dunno.
This movie has to revive the Superman franchise (there hasnt been a genuinley good live action one since Christopher Reeves) AND launch a the new DC Universe.
I quite like that they just put it out there that Superman has mates, and youll meet some of them… as opposed to drip feeding them over multiple movies.
Unfortunately they went with Mr Terrific, the lamest ‘Superhero’ in the DC universe.
Not to worry. I’m sure there will be a bunch of side movies with each of them getting their own flick.

Watched a couple of movies over the xmas period
Red One - had its moments, the Rock was The Rock, saved by the always awesome JK Simmons
The Order - Interesting, Jude Law was channeling Ron Swanson, based on a true story about far-right terrorists in the US.
Gladiator II - Absolute car-crash from start to finish, terrible movie, awful acting, the twin emperors were ridiculously bad, think Prince Herbert from the Holy Grail without the urge to sing. jam-packed with plot holes and inexplicable behaviour, Pedro Pascal was lucky his character was killed off halfway through.

I hated Gladiator 2. Felt like a marvel movie. Even had a “suit up” moment. Denzel was good, that was about it.
I didn’t think there was any need for a second Gladiator movie, and the preview already looked stupid. I’m glad I saved my dollars.

The Substance. Third act completely jumps the shark.
Otherwise it’s sufficiently uncomfortable throughout.
