I work in Shoreditch… Seems I missed the great man.
Grant, 30, has been at Sydney FC since 2008 but is off-contract at the end of the 2021-22 A-League season.
“I love it at Sydney, and I’ve still got this season there, but it’s great to have a different adventure and try something a little bit different, to see where I sit when it comes to the standard,” he said.
“All in all it’s been really good just to experience something different, and you never know, in the future if something was to happen, I’d be a little bit more open to it now that I’ve experienced something a little bit different.”
Grant said making the decision to stay abroad in between Socceroos camps was a “personal choice”, but that he understood why a few other A-League players elected to remain at home rather than play for the Socceroos against China and Vietnam.
“I understand boys have different circumstances back home. I don’t have kids at the moment, so I don’t have that responsibility,” he said.
“If I did, it would be a totally different decision to make, so if boys don’t have that responsibility and are up for an adventure and something different, and it’s agreed on by their club, then it would work out well.
“It’s worked really well for me.”
Just a little update. Sounds like Grant needs to have kids…

Some proper Sydney fan needs to just accept that seducing him is good for the team and get cracking. Surprise pregnancy and we are sorted at RB for another 3 years. Maybe set up a gofundme to cover some of the costs?
