It’s go time, just two days until we’re back.
Remember to get your season predictions in below:
The classic SFCU pre-season predictions thread returns. Time to nail your thoughts to the mast. Nine months from now people will either marvel at your prescient understanding of Australian football or laugh at your ill-informed naivety.
For those who want to study the form guide…
A new feature this year will be an end of season tally of predictions. Rules for scoring. I will enter all team predictions into a spreadsheet and calculate the difference from the actual team positions. So, if yo…
Friday 7:45 - City vs Brisbane
Saturday 7:45 - Western vs Melbourne
Saturday 10:05 - Perth vs Adelaide
Sunday 4:05 - Newcastle vs CCM
Sunday 6:05 - Macarthur vs Phoenix
So many things to consider here: will Paramount Plus be ready to go and will it have crippling tech issues? I’m guessing yes.
How will fans react to two simultaneous games, something which most fans would be used to when it comes to foreign football but is new for the league?
The first round is always a massive crap shoot but I’ll go…

Adelaide (I think it will take Perth a little while to get going)
CCM

How is Adelaide getting in and out of Perth? I just figured Glory were on the road for a while

So you can’t currently purchase tickets to Macarthur’s game on Sunday.
I’m going to guess that’s not a sell out? Is there any reason?
Perth are down to only a few thousand tickets left available for their season opener.

Perth have been hammering away at the marketing in the lead up to their opener I believe.
All the English ex-pats will probably rock up for Sturridge.
Long week at work, beer in the fridge, ready to put the feet up and watch the A-League.
Bring on the 0-0!
