Carney-on-the-right is a no-brainer from 2005-07, Brosque as lone-striker inspired by that period in 2007-08 when he was scoring for fun playing off Juninho before the injury, and would have been even more effective with the less-lanky and more rounded later-career Brosque. We can pretend Corica is also a forward if it needs to be 4-2-2-2.

My criteria was must have made a first team appearance, minimum 4 to make the starting XI was purely to get Austin in there. I also didn’t want to shit on any of the youth who didn’t really get a chance or only made an appearance or two, more of a “we really should’ve known better” when putting that pen to paper.
Was awfully tempted with Zdrilla at FB too, but really, Coyne remains one of the worst all-time signings we have ever made because he delivered EXACTLY what that tin always said he would.
Haven’t seen it in a while but Dez Giraldi used to have a blog chronicling mental health issues. Seemed like a sound lad. He also had possibly our shortest lived and most underrated player chant to the tune of the Odd Couple theme.
