Lolley’s 3rd goal:

I didn’t like pretty much any part of De Jesus’ game to be honest. I think he is well below A-League level and even the look on his face made it seem like he was in constant pain/discomfort being out there.

Yeah - De Jesus still has a bit to go. It was lucky that we were playing Perth, as he gave away lots of possession - one that stood out was passing/trapping out for a throw when there was absolutely no pressure on him.

Grant tried hard, but he hardly won a header and was scrambling a lot - not the answer at centre back… agree that I’d prefer JCP there rather than Grant, with a bonus that it would bench De Jesus

Klimala’s finish for the offside goal was beautiful. Shame it was struck off.

Ouahim tries too hard sometimes.

Perth suck.

Grant won 5 out of 9 aerial duels according to fotmob.

Sydney FC need to sign Voltaren as major sponsors so Lolley can stand in the Cove for an advertisement and say “Ahhh, me back”. Justified with how he carries our entire team.

Love the bloke though.

Wasn’t the reason we didn’t sign up Keely Adamson due to De Jesus being rated higher.
Adamson is a starter for MacArthur but I’m still not seeing anything in De Jesus

Adamson hasn’t been the second coming many people thought he was going to be, but he is a solid player for Macarthur. De Jesus - I just don’t see it at all. I’m sure there were reasons why we chose De Jesus but after seeing both play it didn’t take a football genius to see Adamson just seemed like a better all round player with better attributes.

Adamson is three years older, so it shouldn’t be surprising that he’s more A-league ready.

Yeah… maybe… sounds like the same stats that said Fabio won the most aerial duels last year. When it mattered, he sucked, same as Grant in the air tonight

Edit: oops - meant to reply to another message

Just imagine with pro/rel we could lose two whole states this season.

Aren’t you supposed to be a giant to be a centre back?

Don’t think Grant is the answer there and Jesus won’t save us at right back.

That guy looks like he steals people’s milkshakes at McDonalds

I think you’re fine with a single shorter CB

So what’s the deal with Redmayne? I’m not complaining, just is it related to injury or form or something else?

It was discussed in Bay 31 as either handball or falcon and the CB certainly didn’t get up as if he’d stopped a goal with his face. Plenty in the stadium would have had a better view than us. As soon as the AR stepped across to delay the corner we knew.

I assumed it was Talay wanting HDM in there for his comfort with the ball at his feet…

He made no mistakes and in fact made one really good pass out from the back, a simple ball along the ground through the middle but I think even the players were a bit stunned at that, I don’t recall seeing a pass out from the back like that from us in a long time. An aimless blast out to one of the wings that goes out is pretty much the norm.
