Don’t know who was saying that Corica can’t change games in last week’s thread, but the half time change was phenomenal.
Freed Ninković up to play his usual role instead of doing the defensive running at CM, allowed us to put Kosta on the right where he’ll always be more dangerous given the circumstances, and Caceres put in a fantastic shift at CM.
Fotmob has him as MOTM based on their stats based player ratings. 5 out of 5 duels won, 2 out of 2 successful dribbles, assist and two other chances created, 2 clearances, 4 recoveries, 31 completed passes at 91%, in a half of football where we’re a man down.
We are now 9 points ahead of 2nd, who are 10 points ahead of last (with an extra game played).

Ninko was absolutely on fire today. Big props as well to Caceres and Brattan. King also deserves credit. That was easily King’s best game in the senior team. Massive improvement from him on recent performances.
Agreed on all counts. Ninkovic dribbled us out of trouble more than once. Brattan’s passing range was once again superb: his improvement since he came here is unbelievable.

Hard to pick a Man of the Match after that. Easier to say who is not worthy of a vote: Rhyno. Love the guy but that was dumbness, better not do that at the pointy end of the season. Definitely owes the rest of the boys a beer this week (or whatever equivalent elite athletes do as retribution).
Yeah, not smart. He was 100% going for the ball, but in that situation he went too hard in trying to get up and go again. Definitely went over it, 100% red, even if no malice / intent.
