Love to see a CB celebrate a big tackle. Always great.
I put my fan hat on and I wrote him off super early. He’s definitely not the worst, but he’s pretty close to his expected record, to be honest. I thought he’d score 10-12 goals this season and he’s on course to hit that.
It’s not illegal.
It’s only illegal of you stop/baulk in your delivery stride.
It’s an absolute blight on the game though. The GK should be allowed to move off their line the moment the PK taker starts their run up.
Who was the Italian(?) guy that played for Lazio(?) that had the one step run up?
Beppe?
JGR does not deserve to concede that. He’s been great tonight.
And there’s the Redmayne error. Shame, as he’s been good otherwise.
Signori!!!
He needs to go, ASAP.
I stand corrected! For some reason I thought the laws had changed to stop interrupted run-ups like that.
You need to go ASAP. It’s one error in 95 minutes. Defence has been pretty good since Jets.
Very nice win. We pressed all game and our passing combinations are starting to look good in the attacking third. Talay is a big improvement over Corica.
It’s just about every game now.
I’m a paid up member of the GK union but even I’m finding it hard to defend his continued selection.
He’s absolutely let down the 2 young boys that protected his goal so admirably tonight.
Relatively comfortable win that. Adelaide didn’t offer too much with Halloran & Irankunda out.

Going to put it out there, I think Caceres is the kind of player that Uffy is looking for.
He’s really taken to the new style and has been one of our best for the last couple of games.
maybe a bit harsh to blame Redders? It was out of his reach and came off a defender didn’t it?
Agreed.
I feel like I’m kind of a Caceres defender, but I was wondering how he was even going to fit into Talays style.
But he’s been huge the last few weeks.
If CCM beat WSW we go above them on the table. One of their best seasons and a middling one for us.
If you say so.
I disagree.
He’s 35YO and IMO still a good, experienced first choice keeper. One a piece in the last 2 with games where we’ve otherwise been in control, last week’s Mariners goal was very good and not much could be done. An error (I didn’t see it in real time) in the dying minutes of a game tonight, and made some pretty good saves the last 2 weeks. The idea that he should “go ASAP” because of an isolated error to me is ridiculous. For him to “go” someone needs to pay us out, and I saw no reason in that 90 + 75 minutes that Pava should be getting the go ahead of Redders this season. Wins matter more than clean sheets anyway. If we’re scoring 2 or 3 and conceding one, I’m okay with it.
Edit: You could make an argument for him moving on after this season, promoting Pava and another youth keeper, or even signing another experienced keeper. Redders might want to move on himself.
But I would suggest our performance in Melbourne with Pava indicated our defensive problems at the time were deeper that just Redders. By-and-large now the backline as a whole has been better, IMO, Redders included. I don’t feel his errors are costing us games.
Tonight felt a bit unlucky not to get a CS, though credit to Adelaide for not giving up. Yeah, we have 1 clean sheet all season but there are also keepers who have kept 3 or 4 who have conceded more than Redders and Pava collectively. And thankfully now we’re scoring every single game.
It’s really the “ASAP” I’m objecting to. I don’t see any evidence we’d be better off cutting him out for the remainder of the season. In any case, I guarantee he’s more disappointed at conceding late than any of us.
