There was an incident in the first half with one of the WSW players holding onto Lolley’s arm as he ran down the wing. There was no foul as it seems that advantage was being played, but even the commentators were completely shocked when there was no yellow card awarded after.
So as so often it’s been, the Wanderers forum is surprisingly civil.

If advantage is awarded, aren’t the referees disallowed from giving a yellow card? Or have IFAB changed their underwear again and decided to revert that little rule?
That’s only if the foul is for stopping a promising attack.
If the foul is still reckless etc then you can award the card.
It really is amazing as it’s clear that he was outclassed tactically. At least this game, it really wasn’t that much of an issue with individual mistakes as more just not having any other tactics apart from weathering the storm and hoping to hit us on the counter. There really isn’t that many teams that can take that sort of pressure for such a long time. For large portions of the game, they were defending with 10 men in the box. WSW was relying on the pace of some of their players to put pressure on us, but Talak playing Matthews as CB actually negated a whole load of that.
A lot of people were having a go a the WSW defence for letting Lolley cut in from the left and take a shot, but that was the first time he’d actually been able to do it all game. Each other time, he was closed down or pushed off his line.
Hold on, maybe the guy from the RBB making the salute was just a ref in his day job? He could have been trying to draw the ref’s attention to a foul?

Huh? Cupcakes have long been associated with hooligan culture. Apparently in some firms, baking is a pre-requisite for joining and there’s also the long held traditional “Great Hooligan Bake Off” that decides who has the ardest cupcakes from the Firms.
