i am aware of the existence of hats with hands with strings on them that can be made to clap.

I was unaware of their role in Danish insults.

I know feel compensated for this morning’s loss as I have now learnt of this wonderful usage.

So proud of the boys. Who woulda thunk that a bunch of no names from the A-League, SPL etc would make R16 and then push Argentina all the way.

This was a tight game. All 3 goals essentially came from defensive mistakes not one team ripping the other apart.

Fairytale aside, I can’t see Argentina winning the WC. Netherlands will do them next game.

Proper gut punch. Feels more deflating 2 hours later than it did immediately after full time.

Had we been beaten by an exceptional piece of skill or a screamer of a goal I’d be OK. The fact that we basically beat ourselves hurts and will for quite a while. Typically heroic Socceroos defeat, getting pretty sick of them!
