Sorry you feel that way.
I feel like I’m being gaslit in this thread, so I’m happy to drop it.
Sounds like we’re not doing much more than misunderstand each other.

really… My point on being Polish was to show that the term “white person” is itself a very generalized and to a non-Anglo, slightly racist portrayal of an entire skin colour. My point on the slave trade was pointing out the black people weren’t the only ones that suffered under the slave trade. Granted they were one of the last populations to do so. It worked towards the fact that white people have also been oppressed in period of history, by foreign powers as well as they’re own.
Now I’ll happily admit that central Europe suffered less in this respect, but most of Eastern Europe, the Balkans, a lot of the Mediterranean (Especially the East) as well as the Baltics have had pretty shit times as countries over the past centuries and also weren’t part of the great stigma that is attached to “white people” which is namely slavery and colonialism (with some small exceptions). Lumping in every single person, into the exact same profile because they have skin colour is lazy and very much bordering on racism in itself.
Sniff. He’s turning into a true Strayan!
Oh, you want a Gegenpress level of anti-reverse-racism legislation? Well, leave it to the NSW Lib dems…
“It is absolutely unnecessary to create a whole new category of crime over casual racism. Casual racism is a vice, but vices are not crimes,” he said.
Spoken like a privileged wanker who’s never experienced any kind of discrimination since leaving school and not having to fag for the bigger boys with really wealthy parents.
I agree with the “privileged wanker” part but can you explain what you mean here? If you’re saying what I think you’re saying, that’s not discrimination, it’s rape…
ED: I’ve looked this up on urban dictionary and that’s not what you meant… god damn that word gets used for a lot of things…
Fags were essentially servants for the older boys back in the days.
Never heard it used that way, and my dad went to an English private school in the days of rationing! My bad.
All good mate, there was a touch of mischief in putting it there without explanation.
Historically there’s been a fair bit of buggery associated with the practice, the fagging system was apparently encouraged by the establishment as a method of training boys for leadership or obedience (or both) depending on which end you were on.
Only reason i know is because ive reqd the Roald Dahl autobiography
I’m just here for the archaic British Public School stuff.
So apparently following this event she wound up in the drunk tank.
Girls will be girls.
Wow. There goes the “I didn’t notify Tony / FA because I’m injured and not receiving match payments anymore” excuse. It was previously made to sound like a fleeting interaction whereby she’d been issued a fine / infringement or something.
Shouldn’t wear the armband again.
Hey story keeps changing and not for the better.
I won’t be surprised in the least if what she claims to have said also turns out to be a lie.
This is really not good news for Kerr when she’s coming off contract this season and hasn’t signed a new one yet. As a professional athlete, being so wasted she can’t control herself is not going to help her conditioning and it should already be frowned upon, even without the rest of the rubbish that came with it. Chelsea would expect much better of one of the highest-paid female footballers in the world.
Also not the smartest thing to leave the contract signing so late. Kerr should’ve been pushing for a contract extension just before the WWC last year for peace of mind. Now she’s in a difficult situation with the injury and now this incident. No way will she be able to command the wage she currently has. It wouldn’t surprise me if her next contract is worth about half as much.
She was maybe hoping it would blow over by now? If she signed a contract at that time she probably would have had to disclose this ongoing issue at the time of signing?
It was initially reported she didn’t disclose, but later I read that she did in fact tell Chelsea. Apparently she was even miffed by Tony / FA saying publicly that they were caught off guard and implied she didn’t need to tell them after the change in CBA means she’s not a contracted employee, Matilda’s only receive match payments now and she’s been injured and obvs not playing since it resurfaced in January of this year. That was her own justification for telling Chelsea but not NT management.
That’s fucked enough imo, but this latest revelation about being held in custody in January 2023 makes an absolute mockery of that stance. She probably hoped to sweep it under the carpet in the lead-up to the WWC and is not fit to lead.
so a change in contract by the FA essentially means she doesn’t need to tell them, isn’t that then more on the FA for making then contractors rather than employees? Could be sounding like a bit of an FU to the FA

I don’t subscribe to Code Sports so can’t follow the links to it as a source. In any event the contractual changes were only post-WWC, last November. She doesn’t have a leg to stand on for not coming clean to FA prior.
