So are we all assuming ABJ is goneski next season? I’m still on the fence at the moment. He has a fair amount of class but we really don’t get to see it enough

You would hope so.
I’ve seen enough to be happy to drive him to the airport. Decent player on his day, but those dollars and foreign spot could be far better spent than on Caceres’ backup.
If we played a system with an orthodox 10 then I’d keep ABJ but we don’t and we won’t next season. That means he has to go.
He’s on huge coin. He’s a good player and seems popular amongst the squad but Caceres is performing better, is local and younger. I’d keep him on a much smaller wage but Caceres is the priority
Fair play, he’s been excellent tonight. Easily his best game sharing the park with Ninko.
In our squad, he should always be played on the ball in the middle. It’s too bad we have Ninko. We’re a bit trying to fit players into their lesser strong positions.
Recruitment and tactics… Is this what being a football fan has come to?! FFS. Posting my opinions on how the current manager should set up the club i support?!
I’ve come to a conclusion. Frustrated. General state of a winning or losing football fan.

I rate Muller from WSW, poor bloke spent more time on the bench than on the pitch
Brattan has long been an outstanding footballer, but it is probable he is more effective than ever. He has been a regista in training for years but now enjoys the wealth of experience necessary to maximise his very particular set of skills. It is surely no coincidence that Scholes, Andrea Pirlo, Xavi, and other deep-lying metronomes excelled towards the end of their careers.
Can’t believe he’s never been capped. He’s one of those players you just assume has played at least one game for the NT in an early round Asian or World Cup qualifier where the side is predominantly locally based.
We didn’t have to qualify for 2015 as hosts. 2019 and 2023 qualification was tied in with WCQ and we’re not taking any chances on those with under-strength squads. We also haven’t been back to the EAFF cup since 2013 nor have we ever played in the AFF cup.
The last time we played a senior “local squad” in a competitive tournament was quite some time ago I think.
Fuck me dead. What’s wrong with ‘playmaker’?
I’m pretty sure the regista works down BD&M.
Fair enough. Guess that’s why he hasn’t been capped then.
Unfortunately for him, without those squads, Milligan and the European based CM’s during that time that have been picked ahead of him have been better than him.
He’s probably a good shout for one of the overage Olympic spots.
Brattan is talented enough but until joining us, has never been consistent enough to get capped. Only last season did he have an extended run of good or better-than-good form. Even this season he’s been a bit hit and miss.
You could say the bad luck has maybe come from the fact that the Socceroos haven’t played international football in the last year or so.
Bad timing is the only reason I never play for the national team too, gosh.
I always figured I never got picked to play for Australia because I’m retired.
See I’m waiting for a call up to the Portuguese National Team.
Okay, okay! But seriously, if the Socceroos had played sometime in the last year, Brattan would’ve at least made a squad or two. He was in the form of his life.
I’ve been “injured” every time I was called up. The manager rang to notify me of my selection but my club forced me to turn down the call up. Club over Country did me in.
I got into a car crash on the way to the airport.
that’s my story and i’m sticking to it
