Thats funny. Almost the complete reverse of my taste. I actually find new york pizza to be pretty average. I personally love detroit style and chicago deepdish over new york slice.
Yeah completely agree, I do like that you can pick it up by the slice which makes for a good quick lunch but largely I was unimpressed. I haven’t had Detroit style or deep dish but I have to imagine it’s still just going to be crap compared to Italian pizzas.
The pizza had a thin no crust base, ham and a number of vegetables of which the artichoke was particularly memorable, wood fired and instead of a pizza box there was a flat piece of cardboard and a paper origami pyramid. Took it back to the garden in back of my hotel.
The gelato was made from green apple but not the green apples they sell at Coles. These green apples tasted like the street vendor had an uncle who tended an orchard of heirloom trees growing amongst the ruins of a Roman villa.
Yeah its pretty good. Use to have a mate live directly across from it. We use to order from Prince St Pizza and then sit on her fire escape and eat it, whilst looking down at the suckers still waiting in line.
Only complaint with Prince St is that it can very oily at times.
Meeting up with a mate who lives in Rozelle. It’s been a while since I’ve drunk in the peninsula, but what are the best kid friendly pubs in the area? Metting up for a beer and a feed and will have the kids with me.
There’s two in Concord if you’re up for a tiny bit of a drive. Briars is good for the kids, although outside so the rain may hit you. Food is a bit hit and miss, but they do the basics well. There’s also the Croatian Club that just opened and is meant to be very kid friendly.
Hunters Hill Bowls club is a good one too, the food is a bit more upscaled. Hunters Hill Hotel has an indoor play centre.
