So many former NSL players’ kids coming through now. Marco Arambasic, at CCM, son of Zlatko.

Our “home” games for both 20’s and NPL against the fascists tomorrow night are apparently scheduled to be played at Edensor. WTF?
WWC exclusion at VSP by the looks
Thanks for that. Yeah apparently France will be based there, and maybe they’re in early given they’re the opposition for the Matildas final warm-up game.
Buggers my plans for EOFY, no way I’m trekking out to King Tom tonight instead.
Dunno where else to post this… (assuming it’s not a joke), Sydney Olympic seem to be missing a few trophies

Probably in Greece with Bill Pappas…
Wanderers are missing a few trophies too.
Its basically a universal truth that any a league team signing any australian player is now evidence of a merry go round… even when said player is 17yo. FFS.
I played for one club as a junior and another as a senior, in the same competition.
Merry Go Round for sure.
Have NPL.TV fired up. Without Gurd and Paull we have switched to a back 3/5. It’s:
Pavlesic in goals
Adamson right wildcatback, bombing on heaps
Fong has moved inside to RCB
Mathews with the armband at CB
Calusic at LCB
Buratto at left wildcatback, bombing on less
Scarcella (more 6) and Middleton (6/8) at CM
Agosti ahead of them looking more AM/10
Fryer (roaming) and Gibson (more “9”) up top
Looking tidy enough 20 minutes in.
Really good spell at the start of the 2nd half but still no goals. Just before the hour mark we’ve switched the front two, Harbas and Glasson on for Fryer and Gibson.
Yet again it’s Plastic 1, Asbestos 0. Goal came from a set piece, Scarcella delivered nicely and Fong darted across the near post, lovely header directed on inside the far post.
Someone has definitely flicked the conveyor belt on though, really good value for the win. Harbas and Glasson both had glorious chances to seal it, 1 on 1’s after wriggling through, but we weren’t really challenged.
Average age of that side was < 19, and they’ve just comfortably beaten a large chunk of the side from the last Australia Cup final. Adamson was excellent, versatile too as he finished up on the left. Mathews also in absolute beast mode, won’t get too carried away, but if he continues like that we’re not going to miss Paull or Bakrdanikoski half as much as feared.
Give him a statue!
Where were all of the fringe first team boys? JK, Sega, Gurd, JGR, Parsons etc.
I’d imagine we’re giving the first team fringe guys a break before preseason starts?
Reason #764642373441 for winter comp - aligning the youth and senior seasons to make sure we maximise development opportunities.
Yeah assume that’s it. Woody is apparently in Bali with Wilko and his family. Agree it does no good to those who’ve barely had game time this year.
That makes sense if they were going to be playing significant minutes from the outset but apart from JGR it’s hard to see any of them getting that time.
Not only do they continue their development with playing time, match fitness far outweighs anything they would achieve in pre-season.
No wonder our young players stagnate then leave.

I missed this game, but last game Matthews really impressed me, I thought he and Agosti were two of our best. He looks a lot better than Gurd, it’s crazy he’s only getting game time now. I’d defintely give him at least a scholarship deal, we desperately need centre-backs.
