Anyone remember this?

Ian Lavender, Private Pike in Dad’s Army. 77 yo

Former Chilean President Piñera dies in a helicopter crash.

I was looking forward to the battle between Kiptum & Kipchoge over the new few years. The world is robbed.

My heart goes out to his family. So young.

Read that this morning. Very tragic… He’d achieved so much but still felt like he had alot more to contribute.

Ooh unlucky

Holy crap. That’s a bit of a shocker, sad to read. A proper two footed player, scored pens with either peg. Scored a world cup winner.

Oh damn. Italia 90 was the first World Cup I watched and he had the cojones to bury that pen in the Final that Matheus did not.

He took that world cup final winning penno when Lothar Matthaus wouldn’t. Edit: just noticed Hybrid already said this
Part of that trio of Germans along with Matthaus and Klinsmann which Inter assembled as their “foreign 3” in response to AC Milan’s three Dutchmen, and they won a fine scudetto, but we’re pipped to another by Samp.
Very much part of that early golden age of serie A which we were lucky to get regularly on weekly highlights.
