Gotta beat those lower table teams at home to avoid a relegation scrap.

It’s been downhill since the Glazers took over. :stuck_out_tongue:

Since the Glazers took over, they have won 5x PL titles, and 1x UCL title.

Not sure if I’d classify that as downhill

But probs more accurate for “since Fergie left”

I know. I’m just parodying.

Makes you appreciate how good Fergie was that he kept winning with what he had at the end.

The problems was when he walked away he never actually left.
Even Mourinho had him there in the background unable to escape his influence.

I think that’s why Liverpool’s transition from Klopp to Arne Slot had worked so well. Klopp and his team moved on and Slot and his team get to fully implement what they want to do.

You mean sitting on the bench, opposite the sir Alex Ferguson stand, while sir Alex Ferguson sat in the directors box above you somehow cast a shadow over what you were doing?

BREAKING: Erik ten Hag’s First Interview After Leaving Manchester United!

“Let’s just put it out there: everything that happened here
 it’s Ronaldo’s fault.”

The interviewer sat back, eyebrows raised in surprise. “Could you explain what you mean by that?”

Erik exhaled deeply, his hands pressing into his knees. “When I first arrived at Manchester United, I had a plan. I knew the work it would take to bring the club back to the level it deserved. I was ready for challenges, for criticism even. But I wasn’t prepared for a player of his stature to undermine everything, publicly, with no consideration for the team, the fans, or the progress we were trying to make. His words and actions cast a shadow over everything.”

He leaned back, his eyes searching the ceiling as if looking for answers that had long evaded him. “I came here to build unity, to instill discipline, and to elevate the club. But with Ronaldo, it was like trying to build a house on quicksand. Every time we made a step forward, his comments would pull us two steps back. You know, it’s one thing for a manager to deal with criticism from the media, but it’s another when it’s from one of your own players—especially a player like him, with so much influence.”

The interviewer tried to cut in, but Erik raised a hand, his voice growing more forceful. “No, hear me out. Ronaldo’s presence was more than just another player in the squad. When he went public, calling out not just the club but my own methods, it put me in an impossible position. He made everyone question the plan—players, fans, even the board. When the world’s looking at him as the authority, his opinion becomes fact, regardless of the truth.”

He paused, shaking his head. “The team lost faith. They started to question if my approach could really work. His words weren’t just words; they were a message to the entire footballing world that United was a mess. And once that message is out there, it spreads like wildfire. The damage was done. You can’t put that back in the bottle.”

The interviewer asked, “Do you think you could have done anything differently?”

Ten Hag gave a bitter laugh. “How do you manage a legend who decides he’s bigger than the club, bigger than the vision we were building? I tried to work with him, tried to find common ground. But there comes a point where you can’t fight it anymore. He was determined to make this about him.”

He sat forward, looking directly into the camera. “Yes, I’m saying it. Everything that went wrong here—it’s Ronaldo’s fault. And I don’t know if United will ever truly recover from that.”

With that, ten Hag leaned back, a man unburdened, the words finally spoken.

Is that legit? Pretty damning if it’s true

Hard to tell, it’s been up for an hour or so. But with a page with that many subscribers on FB, it’s a damning legal representation of Ten hag’s word if it’s not true.

While I wouldn’t be surprised by the crux of it, it seems written like a story or work of fiction.
Did someone throw it at AI or something?

Sounds like absolute bullshit regardless of if there is any truth to Rolando’s presence or attitude.

I know this is in the past (2010-2013) before big clubs started to invest in women’s football, but this is so screwed up.

What kind of crowds were they playing in front of? And I doubt it’d be televised.

Pep has now lost four games in a row for the first time in his managerial career

Seems Liverpool fans might have been right about David Coote all along if the incredible video that surfaced this morning is legit.

He’s been stood down
