The orange trim would be class

Saw them “in the flesh” at rebel in Bondi junction today (big display and the intro on loop on the big screen)

From the photos i thought the 3rd kit was the best but having seen them up close i think the away one is best in its simplicity and i’m actually now sold on the home shirt.

As i cannot be trusted to keep anything completely clean i think I’ll get a home shirt for myself and the kids loved them and are still trying to decide which ones they want!

Kudos to the club and under armour

I don’t mind the look of either of the kits - but my first impressions in person of the material (thickness/feel) reminded me a lot of those generic A-League tops they sell at Best N Less. Stitching looks a bit thick too.

New third shirt arrived today. Love it even more on. Fits great too! Not tight, loose enough to be really comfortable without looking big or oversized. Bit longer too. Pretty perfect really. Thinks it’s going to be my second fav shirt after the black, pin stripe away shirt from 12/13

A good close up of the away kit for those who haven’t seen it in person yet.

It really looks good. Just a shame about that giant red badge on the back.

Where was this at?

Rebel Sport mid city in Pitt St Mall

I would buy all 3 right now if it weren’t for the Kennards logo.

Thanks mate!

I’d bet on the kennards sponsorship being worth more than $330, so I’d think the club is ok with that deal.

Doesn’t change the fact its a shit and ugly logo for a football jersey. You have to buy a name and a number for it not to look terrible.

I saw the new shirts in Rebel yesterday. Maybe I’m becoming an old grumpy bastard but they look pretty cheap and nasty to me. I prefer last seasons

It also doesn’t change the fact that someone is giving the club a fuckload of money to have that ugly logo on your football jersey and that fuckload of money goes a long way to keeping this club afloat

Oh is that how Sponsorships work? I thought they just chucked random logos on for free. Thanks for clarifying!

But seriously, if a jersey isn’t aesthetically pleasing, I won’t be buying it. Thats just my input as a potential consumer and I am sure that the club has considered this.

Yeah but you’re punishing the club for something they’d have limited say in. Sydney FC is hardly a powerhouse in the Australian sporting landscape, it’s not like they have a line of sponsors throwing millions of dollars at us to have their name on our jerseys. We should be happy there’s a major company willing to put their logo on our jersey, rather than complaining it may not look the best.

How much time do I need to leave for allowing it to grow on me before I can come out and say that I hate all three?

Anyone who just goes and buys jersey every single season (especially adults) are a bit weird honestly. Blind loyalty is quite dumb imo.
