The Star - time to move

Don’t know about this company, but a number of unions have their own labour hire companies to ensure that the workers involved get proper pay and conditions.

I was being a little tongue in cheek, my political leanings are so far left I’ll be cynical about basically any corporation or institution with the money to sponsor us.

Webjet was about as happy with a sponsor as I’m ever going to get I think. Although I’d love Nando’s tbh, despite their kinda sexist ads.

Are we actually allowed to get a booze sponsor as front of shirt or is that against some regulation somewhere?

An airline like Qantas or Singapore airlines would be sweet

Adelaide play out of Coopers Stadium, so can’t see it being an issue?

Coopers were the shirt sponsor for Adelaide for a a couple of seasons, but The FFA implemented a ban on alcohol advertising. Coopers got around this by sponsoring Hindmarsh Stadium - to which they still do today.

This was around the time that the Socceroos had Hahn Super Dry as a sponsor if I remmeber correctly, and Ballantines Whiskey sponsored the A-League for the first 2-3 seasons as well.

Asahi are a major sponsor of Melbourne City currently, and Newcastle Jets currently have their training kits branded with Modus Brewery. So I suspect the ban has been lifted, or loosened greatly.

If I remember correctly the ban on alcohol advertising for a-league clubs directly came from the government dangling some extra funding to the league or ffa.

Any massive hedge fund, chemical weapons, tobacco/vape, weapons, bitcoin or fracking concerns who are interested in sponsoring the greatest football club in Australia please contact me as I would be pleased to act as a facilitator for a very small 7 figure commission.
